Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

2 questions...

I was looking online tonight at trailer brake (electric) stuff and I got to thinking, is there anyplace that you all know of that I should avoid or if any of you have bought some parts for your electric trailer brakes and had really good customer service? Second, if I have to put on new pads or new assemblies for these as I don't know how old these are that are on it, do any of you have any experience with this that you could offer some "how to's" or advice? Stay FAR away from Heavy's Diesel in Lebanon for any trailer wiring. :rolleyes: :-{}

Took them from 10:30AM to 4:30PM on a Friday to put a brake box in my silver truck.

On the other hand there is a big trailer dealership over there in Lebanon (right next to Heavys, if they are still even in business? ) call Meacham he will know the name & probably the #. They had good prices's on trailer brake boxes, not sure about brake parts? I would DEFINATELY shop around before buying @ Wil-Ro or BJ's, but I'm sure you already know that Bubba ;) :-laf

On a good note Crazy Cousin Dilbert & I purchased a 24 Foot W-W Trailerworld gooseneck today its single tire, tandem axle, with 4Ft. Dove. A buddy I graduated High School with was at my work today... . and he let a price slip out... . one call to CCD and he was wanting to know where to bring the cash. :-laf The wood is in good shape, but we're going to have to go over ALL of the wiring... no lights of any that I could tell not sure no brake lights I hauled it home by myself. Gonna go over her real good, but pretty sure everything's in good shape. Oo. Just glad I don't have to bug people to borrow a trailer anymore... ... not if I could just come across $7 or 800 so we could put a 12K winch on the front of it. :-laf

What's up with Mark as the featured rig every other week with a different truck? :p Do they pull those out of the "Reader's Rigs" or is it the signature pic?

That's my old truck the "White Wonder" Scott..... I started attending a number of diesel events and usually out of state so I outgrew the regular cab. She was a mean runner though! 97 5spd put down 430HP 890TQ on just a #10 full fwd & PDR 370's at the very first Delk Perf. dyno day.

Sold it to a TDR member who ran it in the ground from what I was told, then sold it to Floor It Diesel. He also accused me of lying about a numerous and expensive amount of work I had done on it the year before I sold it. :-{} Basically a new front end under it. ;)

Hey Nick thanks for the info..... will be a while before we can afford it though. Heck I still owe him for my 1/2. :-laf

Yeah I saw that the other day - pretty impressive. I do find it kind of funny though that Peter is building a triple disc now. I was standing there when he was bashing the 4-disc clutches that Haisley was running last year at IRP. He even threw out some engineering theory to one guy that was asking why he thought the 3 and 4 disc clutches were unnecessary. He claimed that his "Iron Giant" could do everything that the Haisley clutches would, but I guess Scott (BBD) proved him wrong on that one. :-laf

Peter's a helluva guy, but I guess sometimes you just have to eat crow.

Sniper call the Trailer Depot on Cainsville Rd in Lebanon, 453-7757 I had a custom trailer built by them and its top notch, they also make everything for BJ's trailer sales on 109 same price just alot better attitude.

Hey if anyone has time or can help, there was a new member to Mid-TN that asked to have someone help put in some gauges he goes by BHarris, I told him I would help but have been either busy or sick at the times we tried to get together, and now I am still covered up with work, can anyone else help him out, I feel bad about it, but money has to come first, the bills like it that way, thanks anyone, oh he is in Lebanon.

SO, appears that we have a blown headgasket on the Red 12v. If so, I'll be busy with R&R and upgrading to studs and firerings. Heck maybe an ATS manifold while I'm in there.

Ducks back under the hood.

Man, sorry to hear about the hg Wade, holler if'n you'ns need some assistant(ance), could get some hands on with your r&r before mine. it's taken you a little to get this truck right, but it's a nic'n tho. rob.

Bad head. Nick said it's just like the one he's got in the floor. A crack *****.

Toss up right now between City Diesel and Cylinder Heads Intl. in Texas. Shipping dollars may be the biggest factor.

Time to spend some money. O-Ring/Fire-Ring, Stage 2, studs, coming at yeah! Might as well fix it while your in there.

I've got a stocker, sitting in the shop at Red's... too bad it ain't for sale :D Just had to tease ya with it.
