I had a Softball game. We got our butts handed to us in the second game. Lost the first by 2 runs.



Hate I missed it. Glad our guys ran well.

Sorry we were on our way to Stanford, KY (2. 5 hrs from there) to a big truck pull and we were running 30 mins behind because of Cousin Dilbert who had to meet us @ the truck stop.



I was a little agitated getting a late start and thought we were going to be late... ... never even saw ya man. Sorry.

I keep checking back to see when we can all get togather and enjoy some wings and cold beer served by ladies wearing not quite enough clothing (wife slapped me for that part). Normaly I frown on the support of a buisness that proffits from the objectification of poor young ladies,:-laf but as a new member, I feel I havent earned the right to change such a long standing tradition. Oo. (more slapping as she doesnt believe me) let me know as i would love to meet you all,

Gathering

I'm trying to clear and arrange my schedule to maybe host a gathering around middle to end of October. Will update when I can get a date. Unless someone else wants to do one before then.

Don't wait on me. Aggravate Bean a little. There are rumors of a small dyno thing happening there maybe sooner than later.

And while we're riding the rumor mill, I hear of a THIRD ford going to Cummins power right here in Shotgun county, but I don't think it'll be built as fuelish as the first two. #2 is still in the works. I could be wrong. Have been before.

Now for the bad news. My dad is laid up in the VA (Murfreesboro) and not doing so good. He has MS, an infection, and other complications of which the doctors aren't real sure about. He hasn't been coherent for several days and I'm trying to run his businesses on top of this one. I haven't been active in running his stores for a while and he can't help right now, so it's a compound struggle. I'm in Lebanon in the mornings and back here to Woodbury for the rest of the day. Thankfully he has good employees, but I can't afford any yet. Anybody want to buy an antiques mall?

Nuff of that.

That's why some of you Wilson Co bunch (WCB) might have seen me over there this week, buzzing up and down Sparta Pike and back and forth from Cedar Forest to North Cumberland and zoomin' the Statesville Hwy.

I'm in the Red 98 12v. As the Green Thing has no overdrive and the differential quit differentiating.

Thanks for your support and I really need to move a 2WD 24v.

Pulled Waverly tonight. Small crowd in the stands, quite a few trucks though. First pull there at there county fair.



6200 CLASS

6 trucks. Butter bean drove, missed 2nd, slung it to drive. Then pushed it out of drive into neautral, then decided he liked drive better so he lugged her down the track and knocked out the mosquito population for the night... . It stunk!!



7200 CLASS

12 trucks. Me, joesup and Barry in the D-Max all fulled pulled.

Joesup got first (turd)

Barry got seconed (queer)

The master Gap, got 3rd. I got the cutest little truck award even though I lost.



8200

17 trucks. Joesup fulled pulled with the Bandit. Ol truck was HOT!! She come out of the hole like there was a ford there to beat Looked really good. Joes pulled 323 ft. Teacup in the ford pulled 322 ft.



Pulloff of 8200. The Bandit dun got ticked off!! After swapping gears on the sled. Joe pulled 308. 11" the certain ford pulled 299. (who cares, we won!!)



It was awesome. You couldn't ask for a better pull. 2 trucks within a ft before the pulloff. There was no talking and being friends after that. It was all business!! I think Joe came out of the hole doing 20 mph, every little rock in the track was sparking under the sled as the "The Bandit" stuck her chest out and screamed down the track. I think I dribbled in my britches!! It was really that good!



Large Father (Big pappy) and acook (awesome cook), we missed ya brother! We need the pit crew. We actually had to do it ourselves. It really is no fun toting them weights. Bean was too busy... well, being bean! Just wanted all of ya'll to know that we appreciate the help when ya'll are there, thanks!



We tired, hit the road off to bed... Catch ya'll on the flip flop.

So Pop is getting better. He was completely disoriented and confused by the drug thing. He's beginning to figure out who he is and where he is. He still doesn't know a week is gone. And I got some sleep last night. So it'll get better-but it was pretty spooky for more reasons than one. Thanks.



Some funky sounding (I didn't look) -sounded like a CR with a single stack- just drove by and tooted some air horns. WONDER who that was?

I grew up in Lebanon. What business does your Daddy have? My Grandfather started and owned Lebanon Appliance when it was out on North Cumberland.

Well now I got myself in a pickle. Me and dude went for ride in my truck last night and then we went for a spin in his car--hopped up camaro.



Now I have a lot of stitches and bruises and we went off-roading at a high-rate of speed, sidewise, through a rocky ditch, fence, and utility pole. Car came to rest with the greasy side up.



I don't remember any of that crash part. 47 is the stitch count--head, arms, hand. I had my hand stuck under the t-top bar--as the tops were quite gone and my head was poking down on the ground when they found us. I came to around 330 in the ER, got out at 5.



Very thankful to God to still be kicking. Haven't seen the car yet, but I've been told it was mangled I looked pretty bad hanging in there bleeding all over. Driver was okay, but both of us had a really close call.



Parked on the couch now.



Truck, I repeat, truck was not involved. pain pills you know.

Man Wade, sorry to hear about your dad, but maybe being at home will help him heal. Sorry to hear about the car wreck as well. Glad your alright! My wife's grandfather that lives with us had a heartattack on Sept 2 and just came home Sat. morning from St. Thomas , and boy will I be glad if I dont have to go down there every night for the next couple of weeks. It is a long trip from Christiana to West End in the afternoon traffic!!

The accident site is just west of Bean's place. We had turned around and were coming back on a high-speed pass and he says he tweaked the wheel a little for an oncomer and then it started getting squirrely--and skidmarks show the rest. I saw the car today. We caught the lightpole square in the arse--plumb to the axle and that's why there was gas leaking...



Yeah, I've got to be a little more conservative with what's left of my nine-lives. There are myriad of ways that that crash could have hurt me or AJ much worse.



He was talking about getting a truck. I suppose his plans have been ramped up a tad.



Now is the time I nap again. SHUCKS I love time off, but this ain't how I like to get it. Mall is closed until I can drive/move around with some independence. Mom and Sis are doing their best to keep other stores running.

Dad is home, but not much help.



Sorry for dumping here. That ain't what I came for. Just telling like it is. And I always know that it could be worse.

Ahh that was you in the car, wasnt sure who it was just knew they had a red truck. I heard the speed and really suprised anyone made it out of that, bet your pretty sore though.


Dyno Day! We are going to have the dyno at the shop this coming Saturday, 29th. It will be there bright and early so come on in if ya wanna throw down. After dynoing all day we are gonna head to Manchester and lay some smack down at the sled track for the last MTPA pull of the year so it should be a nice long eventful day!

Not sure what we are doing yet for grub, may just get a few pizzas or sumthin if whoever shows wants to pich in.
