Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

hey Bean , we'll be there. it looks like your going to pull fri. night. thats the way the line up looks on the web site. see ya.

I was thinking about doing some part time Hot Shot runs. Has any one here done it before? What is required to get into it?

Most likely you will have to have a Class A commercial drivers license. In order to get a CDL you will need to first go to any medical office and obtain a valid "medical examiner's certificate" (medical card). You have to have a medical card before you can even take the written (computer) test at the driver's testing center. The medical card and written test's do not cost very much to acquire($40-60 I think?), but your driving test will cost you $75 @ Transportation Training Center in lebanon IF you supply your own truck & trailer. TTC is on the corner of Hwy. 70 and Tennessee Blvd. in Lebanon @ the end of Cedar City Diesel's road. ;)

If you decide to go for it you can get a free Commercial Drivers License Manual @ any drivers license center. Also you can take examples of the written test's @ Crist CDL Training Center - Tractor Trailer / Truck Driver Training School there are identical word for word as the same test you will take in the DL center. ;)

Well, Happy New Year to everybody!

Are we going to try to get together this January? Haven't heard anything out of anybody about it. Let's talk it up.

Just got a message from a diesel buddy here in Springfield. He's into 1st Gen's. Here's what he's got if anyone's interested:

If you know anyone looking for 1st gen parts, I have decided to part one out. It's a 93. axles are 3. 54 rear is limited slip. NP205 transfer case has an A518 auto in it, but it won't leave 1st gear. I also have a very nice 91. 5 truck for sale. It's a reg cab 4x4 auto, got over 21 mpg on the way down from chicago. 223K miles and has a very nice fold flat gooseneck ball in the bed. Let me know if you hear of anyone interested.

Scott

Well, sure not much talk about a January meet, huh.

Where's everybody at? Joe? Barry? Brad? Gap? Meachum? Wade? Bean? Anthony? Cory? Mark? Hotram03?

I'm busy going broke (beyond) and trying to sell this joint. Otherwise I'm riding and working on building bicycle frames. Got a good hit on this joint last night--when it sells, I can put some more time into getting my trucks up to snuff.

I'm quite willing to step down as Pres. if'n anybody wants it. I don't want to leave a vacancy and am unsure if we ever replaced the VP. No real perks-- but the free beer and hot chicks. Oh, wait, I'm going to be single again soon... :-laf

January meeting--we'd better get something rolling RIGHT away if'n there's going to be one of those. I'll be out of town weekend of Feb 7,8. And unable to do anything otherwise until I'm sold out here. I do have Sundays off now.

2008 gotta end better than it started!

and I say again $500 cash bucks to anybody that sends me a buyer.

The Murfreesboro pull is next Friday and Saturday. I plan on going both days. We could all meet there and see who hits the sand pile.

If I'm wrong on the dates, someone please correct me. I'm going from memory.

Anthony

the dates are correct. mike and i will be there with his truck CHAINSMOKER. looks like there will be a good group of trucks there again this year

Here's what I found on the pull. Admission is $15 for Friday night, $15 for Saturday at 11:00am, $20 for Saturday night, $45 for all three, or $30 for both on Saturday. Looks like most of the truck action will be Saturday night. They list a 6K lb Super Street truck class Saturday night theat is not in the list of classes.
