Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Pull and such

Thanks to all who came. Had a blast. . . --short story-- We beat the ford that blew a boot.

Rest of story and photos on the "pull" thread.

I did find out that Meacham is indeed still kicking. His truck however, has blown another gasket.

And finally met the local Ford guy I'd been hearing about "Bean". Mark looked his truck over. He said he's getting 50# where he should be up to 70 or 80# with his sequential turbo'ed v8. He and I are the only two stacked trucks in this town. Well, there is one more, but it's a 460 gasser.

We had about 10 young fellas admiring the dodges, one of them said he'd seen my truck on the internet--featured rig day I suppose. :D

Terry. Come to the stop sign @ Hwy 231/Hwy 25 (Kellers restaurant/Army Surplus). Go straight through that one 3rd road on the left. Log house. Can't miss it! ;) C'mon any time after 10AM.

Tournament got moved to Woodbury at 7:00 tonight, tomorrow, and maybe Sunday..... so now I'll have to keep an eye out for stacks instead of the game:-laf :-laf

drool, a horton...

Hey Wade whatchu know? I bought my fan from a tdr member in california. Horton doesn't make them anymore because there wasn't enough demand, so i thought I wouldn't be able to find one. I hope it works well. yall have a good one.

If I lived just a little further North, I'd pull the fan for Fall, Winter, Spring. Oh, what the hey, I may start pulling it anyway. It's not hard with the right tools and I want an electric anyway.

Barry's pulling truck (5500# gas) has electric power steering!

Guages?

Who do you guys recommend buying guages from? Geno's? Rip? Any other ideas? Does anyone give a TDR discount? I have my mind set on the Issapro guages. Thanks for the help.

Lane:cool:

I have really been pleased with Geno's. Far better service than anyone else I've worked with.

As for the gauges, I would've said Di-Pricol, but I think my pyro has gone loopy... It acts like my fuel pressure gauge. . I tromp the go pedal, and the temp reading drops to zero.

dunno whass up with that... freakin' POS... . I guess it's not really a hot rod unless you're constantly tinkering with something.

I think Haisley's is the only place (diesel-head wise) that stocks the gauges I like--Hewitt Industries.

I got mine from Rod (Wildcat) but he quit carrying them.

I love the boost because it's a 50# gauge and is more responsive than the 60's I've seen and used.

I like the pyro because it is simple and requires NO DC to read temp. IOW it's reading manifold temp 24/7.

The Hewitt gauges remind me of VDO's in simplicity.

I put Isspro's in the 12v and DO NOT like them. The pyro requires DC and has a junction box. The boost jumps from 0 to 5 and then reads kinda accurately. The oil temp (transmission) gauge requires the big goofy junction box too.

Give me Hewitt.

I'm driving the 12v mostly these days and the two things I miss most while in it are the NV5600 and the Hewitt gauges---well and a hundred or so HP too. Oo.

And always ask for a discount! ;)

i like the autometer's myself. or diprocal. tst has diprocal and best place for autometer is from jeg's or summit. both are easy to install, read and see at night

I'm partial to Auto Meters. I had Ultra Lites in the white truck, and this truck came with Phantom's.

I was able to order my Ultra Lites through my local "Car Quest" parts house. Was the same price as every where else... . in fact I think it was a couple of bucks cheaper.

Hey thanks to JSykes for donating his cut out section of stainless exhaust to my stack setup. I had forgotten all about you dropping that off tonight until I made the first sharp turn on the way home and heard it bounce around in the bed! :-laf Hey Jay have you got our room for Scheid yet?

Hey Wade I'll give you the $15 you gave for those two pieces you bought up @ C&H. I believe I can make them work in my setup as well.

As soon as Jason drops my crosspipe back off (no hurry bud, if you need the plasma cutter 2-way me) to me I'll post some pics. I believe this will be a very good lucking setup, right up there with Nicks. I'd like to have them on before I leave for Scheid Extravaganza next month..... we'll see.

Hey all. The Lions Super Pull of the South in Chapel Hill is 23rd. & 24th. I think. Also the Crossville Pull is the same weekend. I was wondering who all is going to Crossville and who might go to Chapel Hill. (ASSUMING THE DATES ARE CORRECT. ) Meacham, Ginger and I are going to Union Hill tonight to dragrace and see if his truck holds together. Talk to everyone later. By the way, I have Dipricol gages and they have been great but the visibility at night could be better.
