Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

When Cannon added a wheel tax "for the schools" they were shocked to see the # of vehicles registered drop substantially. --DUH.

You guys realize this is just another economical boost to counties like Trousdale, Robertson, Macon, Cannon, Bedford, etc. in registration revenues. My friend that works the clerks office in one county told me that his county does not have testing and they know people come from surrounding areas to register. His county has under 15k registered voters and over 75k registered vehicles and they do not care because of the money generated.

PULLED again!

Dekalb Co. Fair at Alexandria. Found out about it at 6pm tonight. Bagged third place by 9pm.

Meacham got first!!!:D And HE drove it. :p

Yep, Meacham was there with fire-rings installed and put a whoopin on a certain Red ford dually--custom bed, you know the one.

About five fords and only TWO doggies, but in the end. 1. Dodge, 2. ford, 3. Dodge.

Now if I ever get a 215 pump and a proper turbo...

Somebody should have gotten a shot of the fords with hoods up and us with 'em down. A "high pressure oil pump wire" on one and another blown boot on the other. A third one, "Bean" --well, I think he just likes poking around in there. He pulled fine after the HUCKABUCK jumping start.

Back to the top three. Full pull was 310. I made 302 or something. Meacham and Glenn Stoner re-pulled. Meacham put nearly 20 feet on him.

Oo. Oo. Oo.

Hillsboro next Friday maybe. ;) Somebody tell Red!

Meacham's alive?!? :--)

:-laf I think he crawled in a hole for a while! ;) (just kid'n bud)

That's cool that he's got the truck back together, and that it appears to be staying that way.

Sorry I couldn't make it Wade. Would have loved too, but we didn't get done moving furniture till 9:30

Next time I will have my buddy specify how many piece's of furniture equal "a couple. "

Wade you need to go to Scheid with us at the end of August! I've got my own room, not sure if double or single bed yet (friend is giving me her room) but if Jay did get his own room than I have a spot open for you to crash. C'mon!

All right, good job!:D I would have liked to see that red furd get spanked!

A good friend just bought a 98. 5 1 ton 4x4. The silencer ring fell out and a BHAF appeared last night. He is all happy.

Thanks folks!

Hillsboro is Just the other side of Manchester on 41. Real small place--but the ford boys have already challenged me in email.

Shelbyville Fair pull is (edit-- WED the 18th) . Dunno about "diesel" status, but might try to sneak in a win there.

Hillsboro is a Friday night MTPA pull--(us--sort of) and Saturday is a KTPA (bigger dogs I hear) pull. Something like that.

For quickest response holler at me 615 542 1957--free for Verizon folks.

Hello all, happy belated Birthday Wade, just stopped in TDR a min checking post, plus ya'll might have been wodering if I was still around, haha, I'll see ya'll

My Truck status

I think I have about decided what I want. After much furstration with try'n to find that utlimate pulling truck. It ain't gonna happen no time soon. They are just hard to find. So with that, I aint' gonna be pulling much anyway, so Why do I need to by the dream pulling truck when I can't afford to be competitive anyway? There is no difference between 11th and 25th.

As this adventure started out to begin with. I just wanted a 4x4. Thought might as well get 12v, incase I "can" pull it, read Cheaper ponies! Manuals get more of them ponies to the ground, yada, yada..... But, the auto's have been pulling better lately.

Really all boils down to I just want a 4x4 Quad or Club Cab truck long bed. So after much shopping. I have decided. I don't care if it is 12v or 24v. 12v would be cool, but I like the plug and play horsepower of the 24v.

Ramble Ramble... Bad thing is... I have always thought the Sport models looked good!!! So that is what I am try'n to find now. I want a 4x4 Quad Cab sport, Auto, long bed... . thanks for listening.....

I've still got my eye out for ya Gap. Let me swing by my buddies shop in Gallatin again and see if he's willing to part with that 12V Auto.

Also if anyone can get me two sections of 4" pipe between 3 & 4 feet long I'd really appreciate it. I need it for my stack setup. Thanks!

GEEZ, what happened? Hope there is some great advantage to all this...

No matter how great the auto can be built, I'd rather stick it for a daily driver. Auto for competition--$$$.

PULL FRIDAY Oo. Send RED! Some other West TN Iron may show up.

this stinks. my mouse don't scroll in the new environment.

Commuting 90 mile a day, 5 days a week. I want an auto... . If I ever do get into pulling I'll buy me some ol beater farm truck anyhow and let that be my toy truck.

News from pops... Just got it all buttoned back up and let it idle in the parking lot about 5 minutes. Eased it down the road about two miles and peg'd (lightly) a couple times. All is good. Turn around to come back to the house to load her up on the trailer and head to truck pull :) All excited... Slamn on it... Truck will fly, stick ya in the seat, spools like crazy. Truck so fast, almost scary... that kinda fast where it's fun, but making ya feel uncomfortable and you just keep going to see what happens! Real impressed by all the hard work. Seems to have paid off. Let er idls back down while still rolling along. RPM's fall back to about 700, and stomp it! Check out the new throttle response. Truck falls on it's face. She is a little over fueled :) Boost gets up about 10 lb and just rockets, C YA! Pegged the 60lb gauge! (try'n to similate sled here :) ) REAL excited now, truck just scoots... hazing the tires all the way passed a hundred... ol Smokey hits 4,000 rpms and wants to just keep on going... . Definitely, we are pulling tonight!! Then it happens, BAM! Truck starts missing and knocking. Let off... start back at the pedal again... and she is not happy!! KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK! Pull first Valve cover off and it ain't squirt oil and is smoking. Rest of cylinders seem fine. Don't know what happen, brass metal shaving in the oil filter after we cut it open too :( Tearing her down again... . Don't know if we'll even make a pull this season now or not... .

Went to Hillsboro--about 6 miles EAST of Manchester on HWY 41. Take the 113 or 114 exit from 24---dunno the exact number. You'll be near the car dealerships on 41.

The Hillsboro Homecoming Committee will meet again tonight and I'll find out tonight or tomorrow if we're going to get to pull.

We need to join MTPA and get a class for next year. Then we'll be included in MTPA events automatically. BUT then we need rules...

I am still on the fence with the new truck purchase. I can't figure out what I want. I want to buy that perfect pulling machine, but I realistically cant' afford to competively pull for sometime so do I still need to keep looking for that perfect puller?

I am on the fence with auto/manual, 12v/24v, quad/club. Only thing I know is I want 4x4, long bed, and not a regular cab.

I really like the looks of the sport too.

Ol lady says "lets just get a nice one so we can keep it for a long time. Low mileage, leather, auto. A good daily driver"

I say "Lets just get a decent(cheaper) one I can potentially pull with one day. 1/2 play truck, 1/2 daily truck" I like pulling and I will one day. The question is how long is it till that day. I know if I have a 12V manual I can fix whatever breaks. But i really liked my quad cab on my 99(24v). I don't want one too nice for them times when you want to use it as a truck. Instead of having a big car with the bed on the back for toting groceries. Decisions Decisions... .

Can you even get a 12v quad cab?

Help me out guys...
