We stunk. now --back to the fishin.

Kinda blunt there Pres. wanna give a few more details? bad track? etc. , what happened? You said the twin turbo'd boy meacham was gonna be there, did he not do well either?

We both had mental flatulence on the track. Track was easy.

Meacham failed to give it the juice. I forgot my TCC lock up. Finished 3rd and 5th-- to the same bunch we finished 1 and 3 to last time.

I was short on sleep--that's my excuse. And I'm quite low on the power scale--right now. "Soak that engine in money" is what somebuddy said. Yeah, about 2k will get it where I want it.

I'd be happy with 2K so I could get a Dual Disk right now! :(

Take the turbo off the 24V and put it on the correctly valved truck (heck when was the last time I SAW Wade's 2wd CTD?! :-laf ).....

then find a cam plate nobody wants, grind it flat, and HAVE AT IT! Oo.

Well I'm one step closer to getting my stacks done. Jason (JHammock) finished up my 4x6 box steel crosspipe this past week, now I need to get a few piece's from Truck Pro in Nashville and a pair of chrome stacks. I'm actually working on getting a pair of 6" Miters from a guy in KY. Hope to have them on before Scheid, but not probable at this point in time.

Once again a BIG THANKS to Jason Hammock for all of his work he put into my crosspipe. This guy even took it on the road with him to all the places he's had to go work these past two weeks!

Motor Blues...

We tore truck down last night. Found #1 rod bearing is beat to a pulp. What is odd is the rest of them look like new? Looks like it has been bad for a while and the recent surgery and horsepower addition took her over the edge. Scrounging up some parts and gonna fix up a few things while where in there and really need to get ahold of meacham if ya'll can help. Please PM me his cell phone.

Meacham?? Need some of your insight and experience of what not to do! :)

He working there? I thought he ran a restaurant.

Retired from the restaurant biz to open a Diesel shop, decided there wasn't enough business to do that and did ?????????? for a while, now yes he works there. Called him day before yesterday and he was turning rotors! :-laf Says he loves it and says he actually enjoys going to work in the morning. Oh well more power to 'em! Oo.

I got offered a job working on diesel's near Nashville, got to find out more info though I'd be starting out as an apprentice(sp?) and work my way up.

"Says he loves it and says he actually enjoys going to work in the morning. "

Peace and contentment... Sounds so simple, yet most of us spend our lifetimes searching for it!

Anyone heard about the emissions law that was passed for davidson and surrounding counties? Somebody said Wilson will have it next year, what does this mean for us who have played with our trucks? Wonder if we have to install a cat on the exhaust?anyone?

Well there I am saying goodnight to my g/f in front of her house in Portland when the cell phone goes off a couple of minutes till mid-night.

The familiar voice of my "Cousin Dilbert" was on the other end and he quickly answered my "hello" with "you'll never guess where I'm at and who I'm about to watch"... ... after hearing the intercom in the back ground I quickly proceeded to cuss my cousin! :-laf

Seems as though Wilson County (Lebanon) had there tractor pull tonight, but I was unaware of any trucks running. :(

Well only 5 trucks were in the line up according to my cousin so now big showdown missed. Meacham pulled 295' with "lil' man" as acting co-pilot, the red F-350 with custom flatbed and dual stacks just barely got past Meachem with a 301' , also Stoners was there (the black F-250/350 SRW??) and he got between Meacham and the F-350 but Cuz didn't give me a # on him.

Geez guys call somebody and let 'em know when your gonna be pulling!

::HINT HINT MEACHAM:: (I know your reading! :p )

Yawn!!!!!!

Where is everybody!?!?!? THIS PLACE IS DEAD! :{ :(

Anybody heard from Jay Sykes? I left him a voicemail Sunday afternoon and he hasn't returned my phone call yet!

Our esteemed Pres. WHERE ARE YA! My mother has about 6 or 8 2-liter bottles for ya, I'd say come get 'em..... but I haven't had a chance to use your timing kit on my truck yet! :-laf

Won't have for another couple of weeks. Got a horse show Friday, going to Lexington KY for tires in the 315 flavor Saturday! (read way CHEAPER than here!), and then I have Schied next weekend. Also having to wrench on blackie to get ready for the Sepetember Mud Run (mud drag) in Lafayette! Oo.

Anybody going to Schied? Look me up while your there, I'll be wearing a grey www.KYDTR.com t-shirt both each day!

Oh yeah here is Jason's finished handy work!

24 valve work

Im here in Murfreesboro and am about to start a project to put gauges into my truck. . I am putting in fuel pressure, boost, and Pyro. I have never done this and could use some guidance. Does anyone in the middle tennessee area have plans for a work day some Saturday so some of us less experienced tinderers could do some work on their truck like these gauges Im planning?

Thanks

Ken Tenpenny

Ken, Name the time and place and I'm sure a couple of us that live close will stop by and shoot the breeze! :D

Mark, What kind of tires are you getting?

If they will fit (crossed fingers with new D25's from Summit that measured same height as the 1st set I put in :( ) 315/75/16 Mastercraft Courser C/T's. Gotta run to Lexington KYto get 'em  but by the time I put fuel in my truck for the trip I'm still saving a little more than $100 on ANYBODY's best quote around here.

The guy I get them from is a friend/fellow member of Kentucky Diesel club I belong too. Mounted & balanced out the door is $583.

Here's a pic. They are a nice real aggressive all-terrain.

That's a good looking tire at a good price! Sorry to here about these springs not giving the lift you want. I don't think more lift would help with the rub on the control arm though.

Control arm rub I can handle, I just want 'em to clear the back part of the fenders!

I'll buy some Skyjacker or Tuff Country tubular arms sooner or later. ;)

We been busy try'n to get this truck back together... . Shooting for the end of the month so we can make the September and October pulls.

Truck buying update...

Good news. I'll be purchasing something shortly! Got all my vehicles sold and gotta find something. Great news is, the wife misses the truck as much as I do and says she is a truck person too and would like to have a Cummins Truck as her primary vehicle. She said them diesels will grow on ya! :) She says, "I gotta have leather". She I am looking for two trucks now!

Hers: Low mileage, QC, 4x4, Auto, Leather, 3. 55. Preferrably a Sport

Mine: 12V, Club Cab, 4x4, Long Bed, 3. 55, Auto (I don't want to hear no lip neither)

Too many Auto's pulling good these days and you can spend as much money on a manual as the auto. I got some buddies who are hounding me to death about getting into drag racing. Ol man wants to drag some after we get Ol Smokey put back together. Meacham been working on him about drag racing too.

We'll be back in the game shortly... . Happy Smoking fella's.

Wade is aggrevating the flathead cats again. Talked to him late yesterday evening and he was enroute to columbia to hit the river for a few days.

On the tires,

If any of ya'll want or need tires Let me know. Joe Underwood who I brought to the Dyno Day owns a tire shop. He said he'd rather make a little and sell some tires than not make nut'n! Said he'd work with us TDR boys. He can get whatever. He is in Dickson.
