Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Yeah, I understand about that work burnout. Work sux!

Kimber, the Rhino lining would be worth it. Excellent bed protection and the rubberized lining grips your cargo and doesn't let it slide around. Also, it adds some extra weight on the rear for a little better traction.

Getting ready to do a little winter time maintenance on mine. Changing transmission fluid, front diff. fluid, and adding a Borgeson steering shaft. Still saving up for the clutch. Maybe we'll get a bonus at work for all the hard work we have been doing. Yeah, right!

Andy and Steve, Congrats on the new little ones. Hope that all is well.

Hey Jay you need a clutch like I got! Oo.

South Bend Dual Disk! 3850lb plate load, 12 button ceramic discs! Oo.

Can't wait till next season, but I need a few things first.

#1 4K Gov Kit

#2 Traction Bars

#3 Laser Cut DV's

#4 Bigger Exh. housing!! :-laf

Mark,

The SB DD is the one I want. If I am going to do it, I plan on doing it right the first time. I would like to test drive yours to see how the DD does during daily driving. Since our trucks are almost identical (except I have twice as many valves as you do ;) ).

What was the cost of the DD and how bad was it to install?

Later,

Jay

I got mine used! ;) :-laf but had to buy the input shaft from Peter.

Your more than welcome to test drive mine, as soon as I get my small engagement problem worked out. I bought a clutch that came out of and '04. 5 and evidenty they have more pressure plate travel or something? If I press the clutch ALL the way to the floor the pilot bearing bottoms out. However it can be driven fine without pressing the clutch all the way to the floor! ;) Peter know's what's up with it and has told me how to fix it, I just have to find time. I've put probably close to 1000 miles on the clutch already (went to Ohio for the weekend, did it there cause they have put two in). It is a good bit stiffer than a stock clutch, I find myself leaving it in neutral a lot of times at stoplights if I've been driving for a while! :-laf Also the disc's don't have any dampening springs so the sounds are quite interesting.

Install isn't really that bad Jay. The input shaft so was SO much simpler than I thought, and we even learned a new trick to use if the shaft doesn't spin freely upon reassembly.

If you get one your more than welcome to come out to my place one weekend and we can put it in, just need a good transmission jack to do it.

JSykes, As you can see. I don't get online very often... . Still need a boost elbow?

email me @ -- email address removed --. I DO check email at least once a week!!!!

First of all, congratulations to Steve and Andy - hope everything's going well.

Wade - maybe in the second season I can get over to Cannon County and do some deer hunting with you guys - I really don't even have a sure place to hunt down here this year, let my lease run out last season.

I'm going to have some gauges to install at the January meeting if you guys don't mind messing with it.

I guess I'm gonna have to start asking all of my technical questions in this thread - getting straight answers from some of the other members is like pulling teeth. I want to know if I absolutely have to install a boost fooler and/or elbow with a set of RV275's. Yeah, I know, I need DD3's but I'm not ready to go all out yet. Can I just put the injectors in and reap all the benefits or am I really wasting my time if I don't do the fooler/elbow? Getting a box is pretty much out of the question right now, I gotta get gauges and I don't want to invest in a SBC right now either. I just wanna get a little extra kick right now and some mild injectors would give me an excuse to crack the top of my engine open. :D

Somebody set me straight.

HH, I wouldn't waste the $$ on 275's if you think you will go bigger in the future.

If I do ever go bigger, it would probably be 2 or 3 years down the road and who knows what my situation will be then. I got a set of new 275's for only $250 so I'm able to swallow that. 275's seem to be about what I want right now and I can always get a couple hundred bucks for them when I am ready to go bigger. I think I'm gonna experiment with some small stuff before I go all out.

If I get DD2 or 3's then I'll want a fueling box, turbo, bigger fuel lines, clutch, exhaust... it never ends!

TRUST ME I know! :-laf ... ... . just wish I had bought a club cab from the start 3 yrs ago then I would have been a lot closer to being finished then having to start all over again 6 months ago! :{

HH, You will need a boost fooler or Fuel box with one so the ECM does not defuel at 20 PSI of boost. Without a boost fooler you will only get a small, quick increase with the 275's. It will hit 20 psi real quick. A boost elbow will let you build more boost and keep EGT's down. Look for a EZ in the classifieds. They are usually $300 or so. You can run it as a fooler only if you are worried about the clutch.

Let's Have a get together! :D

Still waiting on new BABY! I think its going to wait until Thanksgiving Day.

Hello... ..... is this thing on?

Is anybody alive out there???

Well me and Terry Johnson (dodgeman98) are gonna go smoke up Lebanon Friday night..... anybody wanna join? :D :-laf Oo.

Yeah, I was just about to ask the same, when I saw your post.

Guess Christmas, deer(4legged) and new yunguns keepin everybody busy.

" gonna go smoke up Lebanon Friday night..... anybody wanna join?"

Don't think I can help... ... You'd lay a cloud down:cool: , then I'd drive by and blow it away :{ :-laf

Glad to see you guys are still alive! This is the longest any of us have gone without posting on this thread. Not much happening on my end, looking forward to doing some hunting in the second season.

I was gonna post on here and see if we could think about setting a date for our January meeting, subject to Gap's ultimate approval. I'm for doing it about the same weekend as last year, maybe around the weekend of the 8th. Gap - what do you think?

I'm planning on having a set of gauges to install if anyone's willing to help that day. Gonna have to get with one of you and find out exactly what I need as far as lines, fittings, etc...

Maybe Wade could get some postcards sent out this time if we get a date set soon enough.

I would be glad to help or at least watch the gauge install. I also want to see about the next meeting, as I need to introduce myself.

By the way, I have some Don M injectors ordered - 4 to 6 weeks out and would like to ask for some help on them if possible. I would be willing to drive to make it easier for you mad bombers to help out. Got more ideas floating around too that I will need some expertise as well.

Wade, you seen any deer lately? I need to meet you there someday soon I hope! Also wanted to ask you about turkey season!

I was yik-yakking with Gap the other day about the meeting, and crying on his shoulder regarding my trans fluid change that went horribly awry (don't ask... my therapist says I can't talk about it yet. :) ). Anyway, I think he's going to have a suprise for the meeting.

After the mayhem of 40 trucks all around his house last year, I'd be renting space at the local flea market or something to have the meeting .

I'm certain that gauge installs won't be a problem. We (read: people other than me) did mine and Jay's last year. It went great.

I'd certainly like to see an injector install. Plenty of experience within the group to help out with that.

CrazyGator, what part of Nashville are you from? You and Gap and I were supposed to go to lunch one day, but one/all of us dropped the ball. Holler back, and maybe we can get out.

Andy's tip of day: Transmission housing threads are aluminum. They strip easily. If the manual says torqe to 9 ft/lbs, don't torque them all to 13.

I am pretty much open to what ever. We have since opened a business in our house and the old lady would love us to all be there again, :) She really don't care. Anywho, we can still have it at my house or buddy of mine runs a tire shop (in the process of having new shop built) and really wants us to have the meeting there. It'll be a 32 x 75 with 2 bays and two lifts. He said he could have some tires available too if anybody needed them. TDR special pricing! :) Joe requested middle to end of January. Shop not going to be done till 1st of january. Want to make sure it is done. Y'all let me know. We are all ready for some quality smoke time again! Ya'll wanna do hotwings again?

Hot WINGs HOT Wings HoTWiNgS !!! Them was gooooood.

Of course something else that was gooooood that you'ns missed out on was Hans' Catfish fry. MAN, that was a great meal!

next meeting at Gap's place?

I thought that was a joke since we volunteered him last year. :-laf

Mrs. Gap's antique shop might not do any business that day... ... . streets lined with trucks, some of them smokin like a tire fire, others layin rubber up and down Main St. , buncha greasy men walkin around cussin and fussin, and smellin like #2 (fuel, not the other)... ... ... . I'll be there! Oo. :-laf :-laf

Name the day

Yes we did and I am around south nashville area, but would meet where ever.

Any day it rains is a great day for meeting for me. You guys decide where and when and there I'll be.
