Oh I've only been having to baby the truck since I put the DV's in nearly a month ago! :rolleyes: :p



Took a Duraslug buddy for a ride the other day cause he wanted to see how fast my Cummins was (I'm known for having a fast diesel truck, imagine that :-laf )... ... . Tell me on a 0-1600 Autometer Gauge how hot is it when the needle is between the T & the E :confused: :eek: (and that's only 1/2 throttle! :{ haven't been able to run WOT since the DV's )

Oh yeah, and 50psi @ 1/2 throttle isn't very good on a stock charger! :eek:



EDIT: Its a Adkins Modified Swhitzer. Its going on Saturday @ Ken's dad's shop, provided I can find a V-band clamp tomorrow. :(
 
Good ol delivery valves, there some heat building son of a guns, especially when you are already overfueled.



50 psi on stock charger is 16 psi past the efficiency range. Your just pumping hot air back in there anyway, no wonder your pegging the gauge.

Yes, yes they are! :-laf 50PSI was a ONE TIME deal! :eek: :--)



The night I installed the DV's I was on the bypass around Gallatin, was just easing pass a Duraslug (different guy) noticed he had A-Pillar gauges... . right about the time my stacks got even with his D-side door he kicked it and was trying to catch back up... ..... me... ... . instinctively my foot kicked in..... somewhere around 1/2 throttle or so (was only crusing on 1/8-1/4 :-laf) eyes instinctively went to the gauges (especially with a new BOMB)..... 50PSI! :eek: I let out of it back to 35psi, feathered it to 40 and walked away from him! Oo.



Day to Day it usually only see's 30 with a max of 40-45 (which is still above the efficiency range I know) boost is literally controlled by my right foot... ... I have yet to get past 1/2 throttle.



I can't wait to get this charger installed and broken in!



Paul, Terry mentioned something about a pull next month..... I'll have to check with him again... ... there is a pull in Serverville(sp?) May 7th (day after TS Open House)

I doubt it, it's bone stock, I haven't cut the muffler off or taken the airbox out! :) kinda be pointless... Seen many stock slugs pull! But it do have the 4. 10's and I could get a comp real quick and easy :) We'll have to see if the wife goes or not I guess is what I am saying. As you said before "all women are evil" :D
 
yawn. gap, the first pull was in feb. gifford, il! the firdt one around here is trenton, tn april 30. supposing that mike and i have our trucks together we plan on being there. should be interesting. friday before memorial day joey is having a pull in michigan city, ms. what are the mid tn dates? going to try to come up there once this year.
 
Well I put the 1. 6's in this morning! Oo. I'm very pleased with the performance - it'll definitely hold me over until I can get the cash accumulated to really put a setup together. :D



The smoke is outrageous, LOL, so I'm gonna try to turn that Edge EZ down to the lowest setting and see if that helps it any. It would look cool if I had stacks - but I don't see that happening anytime soon.



The acceleration is really smooth and I can't wait to see if my mileage goes up any - it should if I can keep my foot out of it. :rolleyes: I think I'll be ok after the new wears off.

Cool, picked up my V-band clamp today at a truck shop in Nashville.



Can't wait to install my new turbo tomorrow morning! Oo.



My mileage will definately increase for this next tank, JR said "NO MORE THAN 20PSI for 150miles" :-laf
 
Turbo installed... ...



100* cruise egt drop so far... . still under 20psi for 130mi :{



Will post again when I reach 150mi.



HELP! Need some 4x6 box steel for Ken Sr. & Jr. they are both wanting to stack their rigs and I can't find anymore. :{
