Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Was she stopped or slowed up?... or was the trucker running that hard?

Tell her not to get used to that halo... . the horns will come back through ;) :D

Glad all is ok

I haven't seen the report yet, but they were going to get onto 840 from 41/70. I couldn't discern any skid marks at the scene to pinpoint the point of impact. The trucker was cited for speeding. I'm sure she was slowed somewhat.

Her back window is still out there on the roadway. Window tint is good for keeping "safety" glass from cutting you all to heck.

Mom stayed with her again tonight and we expect to get her home tomorrow, although she's not real excited about getting back out on the road.

Well I didn't want to burden everybody with the details,

There's no burden associated with helping a friend.

... now keeping Gap away from the fresh/hot/now Krispy Kreme's is a different story. THAT sir is a burden.

Does anyone have a phone number they can PM me for Robert Tucker? I am ordering him a couple of shirts, but really need to know what colors he wants.

Also, BigPapa!!! I'm coming for ya man. I need to get the cash from you before I place the order. I have to pay them in advance. :( I may just swing by the shop today or Monday. I've got to go ahead and get this order in.

I'm sure Rob is ready to strangle me. I don't think I've ever met him... I could be wrong though... I'm terrible with names and faces. Least until I've seen you a handful of times.

Wade, that a bad wreck! I can't beleive the girls walked away. I hope your sister gets OK. Keep the truck if possible. I'm sure you will have no problem part'n her out. :) Let me know if you need anything while in the Boro.

My truck took its 1st and hopefully last trip to the dealer! Beaman replaced a mirror and evaporator under warranty. I was scared/nervous but it worked out fine wihout any problems. It also passed emissions! Oo.

Glad you had good luck with them... ... . mustof changed service managers :)

Did emissions test start April 1st? I got my renewal notice in March and nothing mentioned about testing, just money... .

Andy,

I'm in New Orleans at the moment. I won't be back to the shop until Tuesday. If you have to, just go ahead and place the order, I'll get in on the next round. No big deal to me.

Thanks,

Scott

She's home now. Cautiously ambulatory and still fighting lots of pain with drugs.

Mooretown pull is June 4. I'm might go, but not real worked up about it. My truck is sickly and I don't think I'll get the right parts on by then. I am interested in how the MTPA is treating the diesel trucks. I haven't talked to the Stoners yet. I think they've pulled a couple of times already.

I still need a 215 pump and a big turbo. Leaning towards an Adkins 55 production, but the BB Jammer (ceramic ball bearing) looks real good too.

Greenzilla will inherit the Dana 80 axle out of the Blue crash. Will get the 5-speed too, when the auto craps out---or I just get sick of driving an auto. The 24-v stuff I might just keep as spares for my 2wd--lights and all. ;) Thought about sticking the front axle under my 2wd.

How's that for a #ad

June 4th is "Dukefest in Bristol" I hope to be out, but not if I don't get off my butt and make some reservations.

I highly recommend the Adkins 'Lil 55, but be prepared to a wait a little while for one.

Dieselnutz,

What all did they check on the emissions? I suppose that they scanned for codes and a probe in the pipe. So, did you disconnect the EZ and remove the 275's. Really curious to see how sensitive the testing is.

Wade, glad to hear that sis' is home. A friend of mine's wife went through the same thing and was 6-7 months pregnant at the time. Both are doing well today.

I feel a Hooter's lunch coming on this week. Who all is up to it?

Jay

I had the EZ off for dealer work and put the stock airbox on. They did not sniff. Just checked the fuel cap and plugged into something under the dash. I think its the data link. No sniff test. I would say that if it does not have codes you passed. I am not sure what the connnection did but when I started it back up it left a good cloud of smoke in the building. :-laf They just want the 10 bucks!

Biggest problem with the testing is all the 12v's with missing cats. That probably won't pass.

What in hell do they look at the fuel cap for? Old habit? geez. don't get me started...

SOME 12V's did not come with CAT's only RESINATORS that's all mine came with and I'll be damned if I'm gonna put one back on. Trousdale county line runs through my drive way the 'ol Chevy has T-dale counties... ... looks like it could be a possibility for the 'Limo as well. :-laf

truck projects:

Tell us about your truck and what you're doing to it next.

I go first:

Red one (DGR): Has DD3's, Wildcat lines, DDUFM(race), Dodgezilla 35/40, Scotty 2, 5" exhaust, Southbend OFE 12".

NEXT: fuel Preporator pump, and replace front spindles/brakes-long story on both items. Short story is that DDUFM was bad for a long time--Keith took care of that.

Green one: Has 370's, #4, 3K, AFC spring kit, manual fuel shutoff, stock 35 with 14wg housing, 16. 5 timing on original 160 pump (181 DV's). Also Rob Thomas bars and SunCoast ProLoc.

NEXT: Bigger turbo (JR), 215 pump, NV4500 and SB twin disc. Dana 80.

Would like to sell the ProLoc to someone local--so they can drive it first. I've put 6 (official) pulls and 30k miles on it. Nick pulled it 9 times and put very few road miles on it.

And shopping for a new (2G) for my sister and Cheryl. I do have a 12v Quad located. Hope it's there when the money comes available.

So I'll be busy this summer. Whatchalldoin? Oo.

Well the TN Limo' :-laf is ANXIOUSLY awaiting a bigger charger from JR, but who knows when funds will allow.

Other than that all I need to do is build a weight rack for my pull either this year, or next year when I start pulling more. I'm very pleased with where my truck is currently, and I don't see the ability to get any more HP out of it without taking the pump off which won't happen because I can't afford to drive the 'ol 79 THAT long! :-laf

Only other thing it really needs is a set of 33" tires and some aftermarket 16x8's, I'm kinda wore out on the 35's and the '02 Alloys have too much backspacing (READ THEY RUB LIKE HELL! ) Jay Sykes already has dibs on them though guys for anyone interested. ;)

Well here is my list of mod's for the two trucks:

2000 24v - Upgrade turbo with something large, Mach whatevers to match the turbo, time for a new stereo so I will have to look around for that. Also want to add a TST box and tap the pump wire.

1997 12v - take radio from 2000 and install in this one, need a new at trans now. Its the work truck now so not much I want to add to it to keep cost down.

Of course all this depends on the money tree. Anyone have one I can borrow for a while?

Also I got a line on some cool hunting and fishing trips and a new catalog to order stuff from. EMail me if you are interested. You can become a member too and make money from it. Its a legit thing too, just let me know if you or any of your buddies are interested.

First thing is a new Southbend clutch to handle the Mach 3's and upgrade to a fully splined shaft for the transmission. I am having too much fun with them now and the clutch is suffering (it be making a noise now ). Also, need to install the new PSC steering box and Borgenson steering shaft. Both are sitting in the garage just waiting on me!

After the clutch, I am wanting to do:

1. New turbo (undecided on which one so far)

2. Big fuel line kit

3. New fuel pump system. Kinda leaning towards the RASP but want to reasearch it some more.

4. Aluminum rims

Got the garage cleaned out this weekend and was able to pull the truck into it without the receiver hitch installed.

Got a couple of local pay-it-forward items:

1. New Fleetguard #LF3970 oil filter. Doesn't fit my truck.

2. Three piece Mopar Bug Shield. Smoke in color. It was the original on the truck. It is not cracked or broken, just oxidized.

Also, got a set of Warn steps that I need to sell. Fifty bucks and they are in good shape. Replaced them with a set of Nerf bars. Got tired of people climbing in the back and complaining that there was no step. They would look good on somebody's work truck with dump bed!

Later,

Jay
