Hey Andy,

Sorry to hear about your DW. What about old Alex? If it can be fixed Alex can do it. He's an OLD friend of mine. Anybody need any front end work, he's the man.

Scott

Yeah, I wholeheartedly concur my brother. Alex is THE MAN when it comes to steering and suspension. I stumbled across him a few years ago, and I've never taken him anything that didnt' roll away perfect. He's a ledgend for sure. I had him scratchin' his head, but I think he's got it licked!! Feger and I rode it hard this morning, and weren't able to get it to DW. I paid him about $360 for some work and the dual steering stabilizer. He spent no less than 8 hours over two days in shop time. Quite a bargain I must say.

I get my shocks Thursday, hopefully that will settle the ride down some and I'll be rolling smooth again.

Yup, I think caster is a big part of it. First time I got DW it shook the heater plug out of it's normally tucked position. And freaked the dog--and me. Last time I got it, the little one said (unconcerned), "What's that all about?" :D

Hey Nick, what happened down your way? Did yall pull?

Yeah Mark, pick me up a switch.

Hey GAP, I need you to pick up some stuff next time you're down to Madison County. ;) Holler at me.

friday, june 10

1 Nick Hayes Medon, TN 95 Dodge 281. 22

2 Mike Rhodes Friendship, TN 95 Dodge 279. 79

Both trucks pulled extremely well. mike's truck looks GREAT with the new paint job. saturday the pull got rained out about halfway thru it before we got a chance to pull. we are heading to selmer, tn this friday and i think we are going to ride up to lawrenceburg, tn saturday to watch a friends superfarm.

The Mid-South Pullers Association heads to Ethridge, TN on June 18th when it invades the US 43 Raceway Park for the Tornado Alley Truck & Tractor Pull. The motor sports park is located 8 miles north of Lawrenceburg at 29 Dooley Road in Ethridge, TN. US 43 Raceway Park has 10 acres of paved parking with a seating capacity of 6 to 8 thousand. This will be the second stop of the 2005 season and the first MSPA pull at the US 43 race track. The Lawrenceburg area is a hotbed for pulling and that area is home to Russell Counce & Jed Pettus, Brent Dixon, and Steven Long. Jamie Kincaid and Larry Douthit reside in near by communities of Five Points and Bunker Hill respectively.

Talking with Ed Brooks he stated “We plan to make this an annual event at US 43 Raceway Park with plans to add an additional pull sometime in the year. We invite you to bring your lounge chairs and coolers are limited to 14 inches and no glass containers please. ”

The 1-Day event will have 6 exciting classes. The 6,000# Super Stock, 8,000# Super Stock, 6,200# Two-Wheel Drive Trucks, 6,200 # Super Modified Four-Wheel Drive trucks, 9,300# Super Farm, and the 6,000# Pro Stock Four-Wheel Drive trucks will compete. The Southern Impact sled owned and operated by Sam Swann will be there to put the stop on the competition. Gates open Saturday June 18 at 5PM with the first hook beginning at 7:30PM following the National Anthem. Adult spectator price is $10. 00, children 8-12 $5. 00, children under 8 free.

that's about all i know. i don't think that we are going to take our trucks. so we'll be with a white '04 3500 4d 4wd dodge with a 7320 Case IH superfarm. will be the 4th pull on this brand new tractor. should be fun.

Ran into David Holbrook ("Red Rage", MTPA tractor) this weekend. He said that they're looking at putting on an indoor pull this January at Murfreesboro and may have a class for us. Oo.

More as this story develops.

Sorry to burst your bubble but an indoor pull means you have to build a collector pipe to go from your exhaust to their smoke collector. Usually runs $125-150. Ask Nick he pulled indoors in Illinois a few months back.

talked to david this weekend at covington. seems like a nice guy. red rage got 1st in the 8000ss class at covington. here are our results: friday selmer, tn : nick 309' first, mike 298' 2nd. saturday covington, tn : mike 308' first, nick 305' 2nd, david ? from benoist, MS 274' 3rd.

That's a 14' change of position from Friday to Saturday (N-11 to N+3, where "N" = Nick's pull). Mike must really be good on his homework. :D Any more details? Looks like the trucks are quite similar in final results. Are they that similar in setup- weight/traction/power?

I'll bet my truck would be down there in the 250's if lucky. :( :p

Don't know exactly how David Holbrook feels about our trucks, he didn't say much at the one MTPA meeting I went to. And didn't get to talk at length about the January thing. Maybe you had a longer discussion with him. He's from Walter Hill (Rutherford Co. ) and always in the top three.

Had a job interview at a landscaping supply company for a full time year round position today. Y'all say a little prayer for me! ;) Oo.

Nick worked all week on his truck and I didnt so I got smoked Friday. I worked on mine all day Saturday and Nick didnt. If he would leave his alone I could leave mine alone. Now he is working on his. It never ends!

Setups are pretty much the same.

that was a very honest reply. i have to catch him when he isn't looking.

Tim, Check out kentenpullers.com go to the schedule and wherever prostock diesel trucks are mike and i will be there. most of the time mike and i are within 100lbs of each other.

talked to david while i was waiting to hook. said ya'll had a few safety rules and then ya'll could hook. wondered why ya'll didn't come down here and pull. said he liked mine and mikes trucks. didn't talk about january
