Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

23 or 24 mm will unSCREW that cover. Shutoff linkage crap is in the way, but you can work around it. CAN'T imagine this being any easier than through the top if the unit is in the truck.

With good magnet. Mine is lost and I'm "sharpening" screwdrivers on a magnet for really really crappy magnets.

Mark was the guru on the side-hole thingy.

Now, I've got a set of springs out of each one and have to clean up for a "get together". dangit.

I DO believe tonight will be a long one. I'll probably be back into it from 8 till 2 or so. Come on by.

Went trolling for deer last nite

Comming back from Center Hill lake at 11:00pm on hwy 96.

Saw a deer running beside the road going the same direction as me on my right side, so I let off the pedal. Bout the same time the deer cuts left onto the pavement so I move to the left shoulder to avoid... . didn't work. Deer hit the side of my truck, so I find a lit church parking lot to check for damage. It wiped the dirt off starting at the passenger side door to the taillight. I saw some white strings stuck to the side of the bumper, couse I couldn't keep from pulling it off, when I did it pulled about a 2# piece of meat from inside the bumper... . guessing it was filleted from her shoulder. The only damage is a small dent in front of the bumper.

So... . How was y'all's weekend

Been close, very close--but no fur or flesh from a deer yet.

I gots the 215 pump loosely attached to the case/block. Played gov spring shuffle earlier today. Found that my 4 plate was only 3/4 in the 160. Now it's full back in the 215.

Hope that sucker works.

Will try to get it running tomorrow.

A small pair of needle nose pliers will work on the springs just put the tips in the slot on each side of the center and rotate to your hearts content. If you unhook the solenoid the linkage can be worked around.

henderson dodge warrantied my injection pump and transfer pump. think they f'ed up my fuel sending unit somehow or another. but i can handle fixing that. i was at the tenn river all weekend wade. sorry about the crappy reception.

a 4th to be remembered

Got the pump in. Picked it up Friday--then had all the holiday crap take me away from the shop part of the weekend, then when I needed help nobody else could be found. Did talk to Mark, JR, Gap, and Nick. Fired the truck off at about 10 tonight. One adjustment then off to the street. Could it be this easy?

DAYUM! Oo.

Now we're getting somewhere. :-laf :D   :)

The 1996 original shut-off works fine. So there's a couple more bucks saved. I'm keeping the parts source--hmmm "low-key" Maybe I can get another pump there for backup.

Think I got the GSK one notch tight or loose--you can blow on the pedal and get 500rpm jump off idle. So I'm going one click the other way tomorrow. NEXT is wastegate! It's difficult to keep it under 40psi. I've had my foot NOwhere near the carpet.

Long story short. Always run 215 pump on 12v. :p

That's pretty sweet Scott! It also looks and sounds dangerously close to a 4BT! Had I known how truly anal I actually was about having my vehicles pretty dang perfect before I was satisfied, I probably would have persued something like this and swapped it into something a little nicer instead of buying a little beater pickup that I'm probably gonna have like 1000 hours in fixing it up when it's all said and done. I still haven't got started on the body. :(

One of these days, I'm gonna find me one of those little 4BTs and swap it into a early 90s Dakota or S-10. Now that would be a pretty cool rod! I really wish I had gone that way in the first place, but that would have used up considerably more of my dollars. ;) Also doesn't have the potential to get 40+ MPG. But it would have been a lot cooler.

The little Jeep with the twin-turbo'd 4BT that I saw at IRP really got me thinking about all that. I'll post some pics of it tomorrow - the files are on another computer.

Glad its running... ... even though I got no progress report

Go see Meacham he's got more stock plate's than he knows what to do with. :-laf ;)

Andy,

I won't be able to make it, got to work. I hope that will be my last Saturday for a while. I'm moving into a new job and title at work and it should mean no more Saturdays. Don't know yet, it's a new position.

Thanks,

Scott

Hey guys, I have talked to joe and gap about this weekend. A few of my friends and I are going to U. S. 43 raceway it's a 1/8 th mile dragstip. I go there about 1 or 2 times a month. They are having a normal Friday night test and tune. Gates open @ 5:00 but time trials start @7:00 It costs like $10. 00 to watch, if you deside to race, it doesnt cost anymore..... It is about 2 hours from nashville. I know it's to far for alot of you guys, but for the guys that are close... ... . come on if it dont rain... The track is located in lawrenceburg, Tn. ..... I usually go to Columbia, and then go toward lawrenceburg... that will be U. S. 43 then go till you see the sign for U. S. 43 raceway (about 30 mins. ) The sign is on the left the track is then about 1/2 mile. cant miss it..... Just had to put that part in... cant miss it..... I always miss it when they say. cant miss it... but, if anyone is wanting to go just let me know and I will get better directions..... Or just go to the site and I'm sure they have them... ...

Hey Guys,

I am a new member, but have been gleaning info from the register for a while. I live in Christiana, but spend most of my time in Murfreesboro. Got an 03 Edge/Airraid and in the mood to upgrade. Look forward to getting involved in the chapter.

I'd come over there and meet you guys but I'll be at a pull in Stanford, KY this weekend. That dragstrip is only about 25 minutes from my house. I'll try to catch you next time - just let me know when you're gonna be back over there.

Welcome to the chapter! You're in! ;) :-laf

The next meeting is going to be next weekend in Bethpage at a member's house. I'm sure we've got enough for 1 more and it would give you a chance to meet a lot of the chapter members. Look for the thread on it in the Southeast forum. The heading is July 16th Cookout or something like that.

We've got several active members in the Murfreesboro area - you're in good company.

smokindieseldork

You gonna be racing? I don't think I'll be able to go for the next 3-4 weeks, but I'd like to get there soon after. Please post a reminder every once in a while

JMBryant
