Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Take the fitting to a hardware/automotive store and buy another screw. I think there is one around here, but it's no-adjust. And I've moved since I saw it last.

Went to the local True Value this morning. They had the correct set screw. Connected my wastegate back up to my AFC housing and was off to the races.

Bout 30 minutes later it had vibrated out! #@$%! Screw this I have a solid one I threw in for the time being!

Try teflon tape or weak thread locker--purple if you can find it.

I will try that when I can get over to True Value again..... like Tuesday.

This time I'll buy two like I should have in the first place! :{

Anybody else ready for Meacham's next Saturday!! Oo. Oo. Oo.

I have to work till Noon but I'll be right over afterwards. :(

Hey guys good news I'm bringing a newbie with me next Saturday. My buddy Shay McBride is a new acquired CTD owner, actually he's not getting it till this Saturday... possibly having the guy drop it off at Meacham's! Oo.

He's just joined TDR also, member name Sniper351 he's in the Army National Guard. He just bought an 04 3500 4dr DRW 6spd. The guy had an Edge EZ on the truck when I found it for Shay, but he's not sure if the guy is leaving it on or now because he never mentioned it. Tisk Tisk! Shay! :p :-laf Always ALWAYS asked if its been BOMBed (Better Off Modified Baby).

Anyways he should be coming with me Saturday and we can induct him into the Mid-Tenn madness. He read looked up my profile he said when he talked to me this afternoon, but I can't believe he hasn't found this section yet.

Anyways... it outta be fun to see the look on his face... ... . total SHAME Meacham won't have "The Beast" back together... . hehehe :-laf

Hey guys - the HTB2 is still sitting on the bench waiting for more fuel from Texas. Olee and I are having a helluva time with Don M and getting him to make and send out my Mach 5s. Olee says that he's had big problems getting injector orders out and has had a few people cancel their order, which is what I may end up having to do.

I ordered these things around the middle of August and was told that Don would have them ready to ship by the end of the week. Well here we are several weeks later, and I don't have any injectors. The big problem is, I've already sold my 1. 6s that are in my truck and the guy has already sent me the money as a guarantee. I promised that I'd ship them to him this coming Friday because I thought surely that I'd have the 5s by then but I'm beginning to wonder.

Don won't return phone calls and if I don't have these things by Friday, I guess I'm going to have to cancel my order and refund that fella his money for the 1. 6s. Either that, or have Olee send me my stock injectors back and try to wait Don out. I'm really getting to where I don't want to do business with him but there's kind of a lack of options out there. And it's not that he's all that backed up either - he's just not making injectors from what I understand.

Any opinions on what I should do? I've got over $2000 tied up in injectors and a turbo, one of which I don't even have yet - and the turbo is no good without the injectors.

I guess I'll just have Olee hound him all week and tell him to do what it takes to get them to me by Friday. He says that Don gets to steppin' when people start threatening to cancel orders.

Hans, I have some stock injectors sitting in the garage if you need some sticks to get you through your dilema. Let me know and I will get them to you at the CCD meeting.

Jay

Hans, I say hold on to the turbo and look for other options on injectors. :rolleyes: Talk to Meacham. He deals with Don pretty regularly. Or do we need to take another trip down to TX town? :-{}

GOOD NEWS. The frame IS straight on the green truck. I checked it by X-ing it out. The rear axle was shifted 3/4 inch--resulting in 50 (fifty) degrees of thrust angle. (and a rejection from the alignment machine) SO I loosened things up and jiggled the axle assembly a bit ;) and it's square now -hub to hub as best as I can measure.

So good to have a 12v to drive--it lays rubber just like before! :-laf

Now I need to get the steering re-centered, and take it to emissions testing. Which stack to they probe? :p :-laf Should I wipe the soot off? :)

Hey Mark, I went out to Darrell's today and looked at his truck, he is mad cause I have more toys on mine than he does. I liked his gauges on his steering column too, do you know what kind he has? Also, what about the exhaust brake, not that I will need it now, but it will come in handy once I start totting horses around. :-laf

The gauges we can set you up with no prob. www.GenosGarage.com is your one stop shop for gauges, pods, filters, some speciality tools, and some other nice items. ;)

How do you have more toys on yours than Darrel? That boy has in-dash DVD, Exh. Brake, Guages, Edge EZ box, does he have his strobes in left over from the dakota?

What does your new one have? You need to remember to ask the guy about that Edge Box. ;) Also you can look around Saturday at the shop we all have a different guages so you can see what you would like best. The Exh. Brake on a 3rd Gen CTD is a VERY expensive item. I wouldn't really deal with it unless you start hauling A LOT of horses. And if nucklehead D. don't start using his more than just when he's hooked to that backhoe & goose his will start sticking on him and he'll wonder what's wrong when he's going down hill with 20K on his back and no extra braking ability. But I warned him.

gauges

i can get you the gauges, pod, ect. a lot cheeper than geno's.

just let me know what gauge you want.

edge box are no problem, the last comp box was around 575. 00

We installed Lenny's EDMs for Ol Smokey. Granted they are 12v injectors. He might be another source for ya hans. I am impressed with them. Little less or the same smoke level as a 370, but clean at idle. crisper throttle, not bad for a 100hp bigger injector(than a 370)

I am sure he has 24V injectors too. Dynamite Diesel Performance makes them. I got mine from piers cause we was buying alot of parts for him already.

Mark, I meant more stock toys... I have the Sport package were his isn't. I plan on getting the gauges, I will get with you on this as for what is best, and the exhaust brake. Others mods will come later. :p

It kind of depends on what you have planned for your truck as to what gauges you need to buy. If you're not going with something like the Edge Juice/Attitude, you'll need regular old analog gauges. I'll thow in my vote for Di/Pricol or AutoMeter gauges. It all kind of depends on what you want. There's also Hewitt, ISSPro, SPA Technique, Westach, and the BD X-Monitor. There may be others, that's just what comes to mind.

In my 03, I really like the match of the Di/Pricols. I think the new ISSPros may match better, but they have an electric pyro vs. the pure mechanical one that AutoMeter, Di/Pricol, Hewitt and Westach use.

You'll see mine Saturday. off the top of my head, Jay has AutoMeters Ultralite's, Mark has the same, Wade runs whatever he can get his hands on (hewitt pyro, isspro boost?), I have Di/Pro's, Meacham runs AutoMeters on the Beast, and a SWEET dual needle Westach in an SRT-10 single pillar on his dually. Hans runs di/pro's too. Black faced I believe... I think it may be AM Ultralites. Errr... that's all I can remember either first hand or have seen enough times to remember.

I know Gap is jonesing for the new ISSPro's. Ol Smokey's got the blue pointer ISSpro's.

With all that said, you might want to check into the new Juice with Attitude monitor from EDGE. 100smoooooth horses and a nice LCD monitor with boost, egt, 0-60 times, 1/4 times, etc. Pretty slick and reasonably priced.

... . of course last time I was at ccd, Meacham had a shiny new TST PMCR. That would make a SPANKIN HOT stack with your EZ. :D I'd bet he'll throw it on for you saturday. hehehehe.

Gauges - I've got black Di/Pricols with chrome bezels and I love 'em. The white faced gauges with the chrome bezels would look really sweet in a 3rd Gen.

You can get them from David at Diesel Manor or Dave at Diesel Power Products.

Diesel Manor has good prices and he sells a "kit" with everything you need to install them. That way you don't have to buy individually and you'll end up saving money. Trust me - I'm a cheapskate and you'd better believe that I find the best deals. :-laf

I think Wade had or has ISSPros at one time and he hated/hates them. Not sure why, but maybe the new ones are better.

Injectors - I called Olee bright and early this morning and he said that Don told him over the weekend that I would have my Mach 5s Wednesday or Thursday - definitely by Friday at any rate. Oo. I'm really glad I didn't have to buy Bully Dog injectors. :{ (like I ever would have)

So all is good here and I'm looking forward to riding to CCD in my very own ~450HP truck. :D

Hey Andy- Saw in your sig that your running the Courser CT's. How do you like them. I am putting my H2's on mine Sat. morning before the meeting. Cant decide between the CT's or Cooper Discoverers ATR's

So far, I REALLY like them. Joe gave me a great deal. They are JUST AGGRESSIVE ENOUGH. If that makes any sense. The 35x12. 50x17 size is PERFECT for the truck.

I've still got a serious DW problem, although it doesn't seem to be any better/worse with the new tires. I did have to grab two wrenches and crank the caster bolts to full positive to turn my wheels lock to lock. That was even with a 2" level kit.

Hey, did you machine the centers of those H2 wheels out yet? Don't forget that has to be done. No big deal. Just get a holesaw the right size. I'll try to get pics up b/f Saturday.
