Welcome back JMBryant, that's a good one... "20 minutes later" :D

Im not kidding about that 20 minutes later part. When they showed up I was like- Dang, where have yall been and both of them had pulled over at the top to let the temp guage come out of orbit!!!

OH I AlMOST FORGOT!!

After my constant badgering for the last year: the Antique Tractor club at Eagleville will be have a truck and tractor pull next June for anyone who wants to pull!! This is going to be one of those pay your cash, run what you brung, all out pulls. none of that kill switch business or magical flying harmonic balancer shields at this pull is the word the guy over it told me!!. I hope a lot of us can come pull, since I opened my mouth and told him that I could bring at least 5 to pull. I know that it is a long way off but it is something to look forward too!!

Nah, nothing dirty about it. Lots of people here run synthetic, I just don't know why. I did my research and trust the lab results. I really wanted to believe synthetic was better for our motors, but the numbers didn't say so. Pull a sample on it then get a sample at your next change after running regular rotella. See for yourself.

I may have to eat my words, but I doubt it. :)

Talking about oil is about as hot and personal as politics, religion, or auto transmissions. LOL

I'll stick with my Amsoil and dual-remote bypass filter. It works, it makes me feel good, and it's MADE IN AMERICA.

Now if I only had a place to setup my biodiesel processor...

EXCELLENT Point!

Another great point. I'd imagine that you're also running extended drain intervals? I'm an AMSoil fan, but couldn't justify using it unless I was going to invest in a dual bypass and run 25k intervals.

Shay.

Nothing bad about the "syn" word. ;) Just a little ribbing for the fun of it.

I have no ties to any of them, just my opinion. If it works for you, go for it. :) I feel like Andy, just can't justify the cost in my mind and the dino juice is proven. I have Amsoil in my transmission and my differential, but it's kind of a once in a while kind of investment, not a regular expense.

The most I've run on one oil change so far (since I installed the dual-remote bypass system) was just over 52,000 miles.

I changed the filters and topped off the oil about once a year/12,000 miles.

I changed it after 52,000 miles because it was SO black. But I sent in the oil analysis, and it came back good. It said I had a high soot level, change the filter and continue to use the oil. Too late, I already changed it!

I changed the oil again 39,000 miles later, when I didn't have an analysis kit handy, and I was in a hurry; then again 11,000 miles down the road when I went all out and flushed the trans, installed the Mag Hy-tec trans pan and Mag Hy-tec rear diff cover. I figured with 129,000 miles on the truck and the move from Colorado finished, I'd treat it to all fresh fluids. :)

I have one more of the "old" style bypass filters sitting on my shelf. After that one is gone, I'll switch to the new Donaldson oil filter (sold by Amsoil) which is supposed to do a BETTER job on the soot.

Oh yeah, I have over 146,000 on the truck now.

Truck pull

My daughter has been on a waiting list to get into the local soccer league. We received a call Tuesday night and some kids had dropped out and new players are needed. So we have our first soccer practice TONIGHT. Talk about bad timing.

Good luck to OL Smokey and others in the group if your pulling.

Someone take good notes and post results.

dickson pull was fun but had some carnage on mark's trk. he was able to get 3rd in the 8200lbs class, and 3rd in the outlaw class with a pull just under a 100 feet. the hi lite of the night was tdr member sshope steven shope in the 8200lbs class had a full pull with mark and some other guy. all 3 had the pull off and steven got 2nd with the other guy getting 1st. sshope only has some 275 injectors and a edge comp. that thang was hooken up and the mind if i smoke sticker in the back glass made underwood tire proud. smoky got 2nd in the 6200Lbs class

Ol smokey did not have a very good night. Track conditions and the truck where not getting along very well. Track was hard as concrete. But as always, we blew smoke anyway!

Mike showed up and but on a show. He let off about the 280-290ft mark and still pulled about 315.

Got Rollback? put on a good showing last night. I was impressed with the truck. Poor guy lost a u-joint and snapped the yoke... ouch.

Steven, Gap and Joe didn't dissapoint either. Good showing by all.

What was weird is that the lower HP trucks seemed to do better (Excluding Mike).

... and speaking of Mike... Anyone know why he didn't start the truck until he was just seconds away from pulling?

I talked to mike and he said it gets TOO hot. He said he acutally ran it longer than he usually does because he had to make that turn to get onto the track... . I was shocked too. He said he has the factory cooling system still in place, but she gets wayyyy hot.

That truck was impressive to say the least.

Nick, you missed it! Mike left you second place :D (rib rib)

these high erformance engines are just like tractors. they run better cold. he's got the factory radiator in place. wish i could have been there.

VERY SPECIAL THANKS! goes out to Joe Underwood of Underwood tire from myself, Joe got the 'ol 'Express back on the road in less than 24 hrs!! Talk about a class act! ;) :D

Glad I was able to put on a good show for you guys last night, just wished I could have drove home as well. :{ :-laf

The fiance and I have a bid in on a house in Portland so this was good timing to get one more pull in unfortunately some breakage too. :-laf
