Oh my god. I don't even know why I'm involving myself in this one, but I would like to know how a company can go bankrupt when its shares are worth $120 each and has an accounts receivables of 2. 02 BILLION.

Oh, and Cummins has $878 million in cash. ;) So I think they're safe from bankruptcy for the moment.

There's a prime example of why I don't talk to those fools.

LOL, did you post that just to get one of us stirred up? :-laf

Steven, I hope you slapped him right out of his shoes. Hit this link and do some reading: Cummins News. Pay particular attention to the Sept 8t - Cummins Named to Dow Jones Sustainability World Index For Second Year in a Row, and the July 27 - Strong sales and margins fuel another record quarter for Cummins, and the Cummins Inc. debt rating raised to investment grade by Moody's (for the SECOND time in 8 Months!!).

You wanna talk about failing businesses? Go read up on FORD! Their incompetant chairman just stepped down after finally realizing HE was driving the comany in the ground. Ford's in a world of Doodie. Begging for alliances with everyone from Nissan/Renault to Chevrolet.

... and when he says Ford OWNS CumminGs, send him to the ER with your boot in his backside.

Cummins makes the world go round my friend.

Wut up?

Been real busy, hain't been around here in a while. Give me a day or so to catch up. The auto notification thing cuts out after a while.

Congrats on the Cummins Ford. I finally saw a photo of Piers' Ford--just about exactly what I'd like to do. Or I can win the lotto and buy his.

Taking dealers here at the antique mall. I going to work on bicycles and build custom bike frames--settle down Gapper--bicycle frames.

One more thing and then I gotsta go.

So I'm tooling up the hill yesterday in the green one and a pokeslow in the right lane is passing a pokeslower parked in the left lane--so instead of insisting on my right-to-pass in the left lane--I just follow through. Then I jump back out into the left lane to go around pokeslow number one. As I'm clearing him and about to get back into the right lane, I notice a 3rd gen on my BUTT, so--I catch OD and lockit up and ROLLED SOME DANG COAL--in the right lane so the 3G could pass me if he had some boost. Well, dang if he couldn't even pull up to my trailer---WHOOPS forgot to mention that I had the 24' gooseneck hanging out back. :-laf

I'll tell you what's wrong with it, quit letting Trevor drive it! He left out of here either last Saturday or the one before, I KNOW she was stone cold, blowin the smoke and revvin' her to the moon. Get on him.

Hey, you got an old 21spd drivetrain laying around? LX? XT? XTR!?!?! I love my old alum frame GT and my magura hydraulics, but the drivetrain sawks. Also... I need good 1-1/8" stem. A pretty long one, with no more than a 10* rise. Got one of them? The old girl needs a tuneup. I manly use it now to tow a chariot carrier with the kids in it.

Was looking in the Wheels and Deals today, and saw a truck with some bombs. 99 2500 2wd, Mach 7, Comp Box, South Bend Clutch "FAST" Fuel Pump, Mickey Thompson Wheels for 15,000- Oh yeah, says 550 hp and 1100 tq at the rear wheels Just throwing it out there

Sounds exactly like the Intense Blue Quad Cab Short bed with single stack that made 500+ @ Beans back at the first of the year.

I believe that truck was out Lebanon way, so if the listing says Lebanon I would agree with Mark on this one. It was definitely a strong truck on the rollers.

I would like to apologize to Steven and Trevor for this post. It was meant in jest but could easily be construed as a serious case of tattling.

Steven, I'm sure your problem is not related to Trevor's use of your truck. I was over zealous in trying to pick on Trevor.

Drop it off and I'll try to scrounge up some parts. Magura hydraulics! The ultimate RIM brake. :-laf Really though, I like to see old rides on the trail---even aluminum ones. Thumbshift? Otherwise you'll be need shifters too. Pretty long is too vague. We'll have to size you up.

But right now I gotta get the old 1894 marlin back together (replace extractor/refinish wood/find all parts) for the 8-year-old boy that MIGHT get to hunt with me this year. He still has to pass my range test and learn how to sit still for more than 2. 4 minutes at a time.

back to the trucks:

Anybody had transmission work done down Columbia way. Dude called and needs an overhaul. I'm going to try to convince him to do it right. Might just be parts, maybe a whole juicer.

Nebber mind. He actually lives closer to Lebanon and will be calling CCD PDQ.

SRAM 8spd shifters with a shimano 7spd casette. LOL. Those grip shifts have some fine tune to them so it's worked out okay. I can hang with the magura's (heavy though they are). They stop good and I just stroll around with the kids anyway. I'm a clydesdale remember. :D

Hey Gary

you got any good deals on clutches over there on the east coast?

since i got my transmission out, figured i should go ahead replace the clutch along with the transmission, Long story but it started jumping out of 1st gear and has a roar in 4th.

Thanks Eddie

Joe,

Anybody here about Josh's transmission oops? Josh won the ZVT at your shop early this year.

Steering Wheel Noise

My truck has developed a moan and groan when I turn the steering wheel. It is coming from inside the cab. Any tips or suggestions to remedy this?

Thanks,

Jay
