Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Had a good time out in Hillboro last night, I need to address some wire connections as I lost my accellorator pedal right when I was getting to the good stuff! Congrats to Jacob for his win that was a nice hook. Some one tell Jonathon that the man is out to get him and might as well not show up anymore since the sled operator is slammin on the brakes for him and no one else.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Stoner lost a TC and his rear end. I have spent some time today fixing things that have been breaking loose in the cab from my damn bounce, gotta get that figured out. #@$%!

That figures, I dont go to Hillsboro and all kind of trucks pull. It was just too damn hot to go out there and sit!! Sounds like lots of carnarge though with Stoner bitting the dust. Bean, are you talking about Jonathan Thompson?? White 3rd gen?? Whats up with that sled guy?? I knew I should have went:mad:

A guy at work with an 01 has a slipping transmission when hot and going into overdrive. What's his options and cost... . I know nothing about the autos

PULL at MOORETOWN this Saturday

Cedar City Diesel: Fully equipped and professionally operated shop with a huge amount of experience with our trucks. I send folks there all the time.

I hate like thunder that I'm missing the pulling action. I'll be back.

Saturday 6pm (11 Aug) the regular MTPA pull at Mooretown. I'll be there spectating. Yall bring some rumble and smoke.

Every other Saturday they're mud bogging at Ivy Bluff. Interesting and fun, but messy as heck. I've been twice. Last time was interesting when they started getting out the other side. Five bucks to get in... NO ALCOHOL means "keep it kinda hidden":p Seems like everybody is having a cool one. Don't know what it cost to run. Everybody gets two runs--they run the whole show twice. I wouldn't get in there with less than 38" tires with very aggressive tread--and a day off to get the mud out. :-laf They run three classes and I have no idea what the rules are, but the top class includes dedicated rock-crawler type trucks. And unlike the pulls--Barry starts at 6pm sharp.

Gotta close up the shop now.

Transfer case needs rebuild or I need to find another. Got someone to do the rebuild if need be, but does anyone know where a NV241DLD is at for a stickshift relatively cheap?

Heck fire and tarnation. It's warm in the mall... A/C would be super. Maybe I'll go sit in the truck.

So I had a gal pull up with a blown tire--tread gone, but still holding air! And I changed it. F-d up my foot some more.

If'n yall ain't going to come to the pull, I think I'll go to the poker game. It's air-conditioned and I stand a chance of making money. I've "hit" two of the last three games. If I lose, it's still a lot cheaper than fixing a transmission or axle or diff.

Would like to see Bean hook though... maybe I'll call him and see how ol Bouncy is doing. :-laf

On the card games: There's more than one in the area, but the one I play is every other Saturday $25 buy-in Hold 'em tournament, no rebuy, 100% payback and usually some food. There's a "big" tourney up here every now and again, usually on a Friday. It's a little over $100 to get in--the over goes to a charity. They had 40 players last time-I've not played it yet.

I am here, I am catchin some hell cause I am not pullin at Layflat like the rest of em. I am goin to Viola on Friday and Mooretown on Sat. I want to be first in points in MTPA plus its my local stuff.

Got me some fuel now, dual pumps is on and she fuels like a ******* now.

When is the Layflat pull?

Mark told me this morning that they are having a "local boys" street truck pull tonight and outlaw trucks tomorrow night. I don't know if "local boys" means you can run or if you have to be "local".

Hey Wade, do you know how much to get in at Mooretown? Mark said it was $20 year before last. Are they requiring balancer shields and kill switches?

Andy, I'm going to wax the Jeep. What kind of wax would you recommend?

Thanks fellas,

Scott

Well guys. I expect my subscription to expire any day now. I've chosen not to renew. It's been a great 3+ years of get-togethers, hangin' out and banter. I thorougly enjoyed my tenure as Vice Pres of the chapter, and still appreciate all the kindness you expressed to me when I stepped down.

If any of ya need me, give me a shout or stop by the house. I'll be glad to lend a hand where I can.

stay the course men...

Andy, I'da never thunkit.

I've gotten to that point also... . the only part of TDR that I check regularly is this thread. I reckon one of these days soon, I'll lose my access... had a great time with a great bunch of guys ('cept for the road fire guy:-laf). gimme a holler sometime

Chris did us proud in Lay Flat last night. He went 330' something I am pretty sure.

He pulled about as far as I did last year, also kept going 15 feet after the flag guy started waving the red flag!!! :-laf

Jacob & Johnathon both had good hooks last night (Blue & White 3500 3rd Gens) I think Corbin was letting them run with the sled last night though because they went 310's or 320's both of them. No doubt though there trucks are stout. ;)

Even 'ol squaretires showed up  :--) :--) I thought it would of took a heard of elephants to drag him outta dickson?!? :-laf :D He was also in the 310'-320' range I think... . good pull... but why didn't you pull down to 1st at the end of the track.

I'll be there again tonight..... sans truck. If you see me make sure and say hello.

Hello to all

Ive spent the last 3 days reading and realized I havent even posted yet. I just moved to Franklin (South Nashville) and purchased my first smoker (03 3500... 80K auto 2wd on the totally stock truck). Been salivating over the mods that have been detailed here. I am considering a quadzilla gauge to handle my transmission temp and EGT and lift pump/fuel pressure concerns and wondered if anyone had opinions about em. They seem to be a good choice if more than 4 gagues are planned for the money. I will have to finish moving my motorcycle shop (one 20 foot enclosed at a time) B4 any real bombing as my funds are limited and storage is costing a small fortune in Oak Ridge. Would love to meet some of you and I also play a little holdem. Looking forward to a bad case of the might as wells... . if I do the gauge might as well do the intake ... . if I do the intake mightaswell do the exhaust... . MAW do the injectors... . transmission.....computer..... pump..... then comes child support and a new franklin address... ... . :eek:me... ... ... . #@$%!wife

what happened at the end of the pull was my fault, i wanted to stay locked up as long as i could but it was too late and i lost too much boost. looks like i need to unlock no later than 2300rpm. even if you shift to 1st or 2nd. it will not shift unless you are unlocked. but i had a lot of fun and still placed 3rd. :) the most fun i had was the whole fight thing. those ceder city boys can hold there own, but i want you ccd boys to know that if you needed me or chris we would have come out from behind the trailer and took care of them local boys;) i got to bed at 5am and i felt like an old fart the next day so i missed the sat. nite thing, hope you all did good.

Scott--Don't know the cover charge or hook fees. I showed up around 12:10, after the card game (4th--no money). But yes, Kill switch and cover.

BEAN kicked some BUTT and was on the limiter all the way. Congrats. 15 trucks pulled. Mike Stoner got second. Steve Constable broke. I think Mike Bean got last--but then he has a CR conversion up his sleeve! shhhhhh ;)

Dang I miss pulling. Guess I need a job--this business thing ain't paying yet.

Yall say hey to Wayne. He's been reading all these 8000 posts and now he knows YOU!

Wayne--Holdem Tournament Friday night-17th at Westside School, Woodbury. $110 to play. They had 37 in the last "big" tourney. I played for 4 hours last night--blinds got to 8000/16000, I was short went in with K/6 and got busted when (bigstack) Q/2 caught a 2!

My 24 is for sale, spread the word.

Back to work.

I might of missed layflat but I kicked some serious bootie at both pulls I went to. 344ft At Viola and 356ft at Mooretown. Just hope it will do well at Schieds.
