Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Guys, this is kinda off topic and please accept my apologies for the side track but I am desparate to find a factory OEM 16x8, 8 lug, aluminum wheel that will fit my 2002 Ram 2500. I found some possible damage to one of my wheels and need to replace it. If any of you have one you want to sell or know someone that does, please PM me. I am about 2 hours sound of Nashville. Thanks!

this just in:

I ran the bearings out of the front hub two days ago. Have new hub assembly, but the threads came off my axle (with a 6' cheater)pulling it apart. So I'm trying to pull the axle out of the junk truck out back. Hub assembly is NOT budging... . sweat drip cuss. And I effin hope the axles match up. 98-2000 and the brakes are different fer sure.

If I can't get the stuff apart with the hot wrench--I'm going to need another axle...

If only I didn't have such large ox/acetylene cylinders. ... I hate ruining a good hub, but I need the freakin axle.

Wade,

I used a bar jammed in behind the hub and the trucks power steering to push the hub out when i replaced the one on my mom's truck.

Anthony

Good Luck with that axle Wade, I know it is no fun jerking around with something for hours when it 95 degrees outside and you cant see cause of the sweat in your eyes.

Hope some of yall can make it to the pull in Shelbyville, this Thursday, the 24th. I was planning on being there, but the doc told the wife and me to be at the hospital Thursday to have this baby. So yall have a big time!!

We'll be praying for you Justin! On our first they told us on Thursday morning that they were going to induce that Monday morning. She had him early Friday morning!

Scott

Thanks guys. Got it finished today. 2000 axle still in place. Had threads repaired by machinist this morning--he was busy yesterday. Best GD 10 bucks I ever spent!

That was my first ever front axle job on these trucks. Next time won't be so tough.

Happened to notice the right axle needs a u-joint---thhhhhhhhhhhhhhppppp not this week!!!:-laf

Mooretown and more.

I wonder the same thing too. Probably all my fault.

I suppose folks are spending time at all the other forums out there. Many free-no-magazine sites you know. I think interweb is taking over magazines for some segments of the population.

And I've not been as active here as back when it was all new to me... Most of my online time now is bicycle related--which covers my new direction in bidness and recreation. Bike racing is SOOOOOOOOOO much cheaper than truck pulling/racing and it promotes my product (when I have some).

There were only three of "us"-the original bunch at Bean's open house this year. That sucked. They always put on good eats and have a permanent burnout pad. Bean is getting a portable inertia dyno this week according to the wind that blows across the highway. ;) He's been busy removing two cyclinders from a bunch of fords. Listen before you pounce :-laf , it might not have that fluttery sound anymore.

I blew my day off getting a starter overhaul and doing the R&R (on the ground again) Good news is that the truck starts WAY better again. No more tapping the footfeed and hoping not to get a click-and crawl under tap situation.

Now that my "fingers are dirty" again, I'm going to pull the rear end down and get the green one going. Still need a fan hub--or I might get that fixed at the 'chine shop, so I can have A/C again in the red truck. I'll still need an OEM fan.

I'll sell the 24v to anyone who makes an offer.

I'm closing my antiques mall 14 August and going to Dahlonega GA for a 50/100 mile mountain bike race that weekend. Need to sell building and 5 acres. My b-day Friday.

MOORETOWN PULL AUG 9. Bean and Mike Stoner are the big dawgs up here--any challengers?! Or are converted fords going to dominate? There was a stout chubby last time, but it was really quiet and boring. :-laf Bring dixie cups for your beer.

How about a tire roasting contest at Bean's? With awards and judges? After things cool down a bit... discuss.

That's the news from The Ragged Edge of the Highland Rim East.

How come nobody talks on here anymore ?

What's up Barry?

I don't know about everybody else but as far as I'm concerned it just seems that I'm spending all my time just trying to keep from going broke in this economy. No extra funds to spend on the truck so not as much interest here. Can't afford to drive to the pulls and other events so I try not to look at whats going on, too painful... . ;)

Scott

I'm still hanging out. Check the site everyday, but not posting much.

Let's get a roll call to see who all is actually still around.

truck pool to the truck pull. ;) Hell, hook up with like-minded folks and share the ride.

I'm still around. It sounded like the Shelbyville pull was good. Sorry I missed it. I will also miss the Mooretown one. I have been busy this week trying different settings on the Smarty VP Beta Revo tunes!:D More power, more RPM, more options, less smoke, and FREE!Oo.

Congrats on the wee one.

Rock on the Beta stuff Steve! My beta turbo is still a great one.

Dodge test drive

I was looking at the Dodge test drive on the home page. Just so happens I'm going to be in Atlanta the weekend the event is held there. So I registered to attend the event and check out the new ride.

Mr Bryant, Congrats on the new addition. Hope all is going ok.

I kind of like the looks of those new trucks, check em out good for us. Dont really know about all of those cheesy tool box thingies built into the side of the bed and the cooler in the floorboard. Progress I guess??

Were doing great, thanks for asking Anthony. I tried to get clearance from mom to take him to the pull in Hillsboro tomorrow night, but I guess he can wait a while for his first pull:-laf
