Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

KDP party!

Well I know we have the Ivy Bluff pull coming up on the 3rd, but I was wondering if any of you would be interested in coming out to my place for a KDP party on July the 10th?

Wade and I have tried to get together on a couple of occaisions and neither has worked out (no hard feelings ;) ) but I would like to get this done as soon as possible.

I plan on ordering the KDP kit from TST and I have all of my own tools so its just basically a "is anybody interested in coming out" deal?

Let me know, I'll supply food and drink to any who show althought I won't be 21 until July 14th so any "adult beverages" are byob of course! :-laf

I'm about 20 minutes away from Lebanon so if your interested just post here and let me know so I can start a head count.

TIA.

I hope yours goes better than mine. I opened the case and NO DOWEL PIN. It had fallen out at some point in time. Broke one of the case female thread holders. So I just spent $335. 00 at Cummins south in Chattanooga for a new case and all the seals. Not a very difficult job, just very time consuming. I am going to start putting mine back together tonight after work. Feel free to contact me with any questions and I will help the best I can.

Ram Medic, did I just read a post of yours the other day talking about being "bitten" by the KDP? Did you notice something wrong before hand, or did you find out the pin had vanished while doing the tab fix?

I found out the pin had vanished when I went to tab it. Things were going very smooth, got the fan and shroud out, top radiator hose out of the way, timing cover off, etc..... spotted where the KDP should have been and low and behold, no dowel pin. Did a little more exploring and found the broke area on my housing. Rotating the cam gear today I found a bolt that had been worked loose and was missing hitting the cam gear by about 30 thousandths. Make sure you check ALL the bolts in the housing and lock tite them all. Wish I could come help you this weekend, however, at the rate I am going I may still be working on mine. I will try to post pics tomorrow of the damage.

Somebody don't read the fine print :p

"Meeting @ 6pm, pull following" :-laf

I believe Wade said to kick this off @ 2pm  in the actual July 3rd thread in the Southeast Forum. Check there.

edit: Man I'm two for two :-laf

Well heck yeah, bring stuff, I got the place! We can start that at 2pm.

Here's the deal--i think

With folks coming in early and late and the trackside seating needing to be claimed pretty quickly after gates open, early comers come out to my house 2pm or later, we'll eat peanuts and horseradish until about 4, then go claim our spectator positions at the track. The pull won't start until 6 and WE pull last--probably around 10pm.

We'll try to conduct some bidness. I collect some more names and try to pin the "roster" project on somebody, since I've failed at completing one yet. Next meeting will be discussed. I favor the Ivy Bluff pull in September. ;) But ya'll might want to do something else.

And the meeting after next--may be dyno time again. End of Oct or first of Nov.

I've had two calls since the cards went out. Thanks Robin. We'll get 'em out sooner next time.

On the Pull, concessions will be there, but I recommend a cooler full of food/bev in the bed of a pickup truck--if you have one handy. Adult beverages should be consumed discreetly. They're not Beer Nazi's, but they don't want a bunch of drunk rednecks out there either.

wow my longest post in months!Oo.

Don't even know if I'll make Ivy Bluff... ol lady wants to go out of town for holiday weekend... . urgh! I might stay here and go anyway, but I don't know whats worse. Here mad or me mad. . probably her! :)

Poor ole truckless Gap. Can we get Red to come without you?

Where's Meacham?

We need a couple of trucks stout enough to beat whatever Fords show up. I know at least two of them had propane on them last time I checked--but I've not seen them pull. Maybe my wheezer will be enough. :p

HO yeah, there's some extra money on the pull. There's a HOOT n HOLLER award for the best fan, and a "BEST SHOW" award for the most exciting pull. These are mystery $$$, but I know they're over $100 each. Nick's pull last year would easily be in the running for Best Show--if they had it last year.

And the cards went out very late. I got mine yesterday, and a guy in Hamilton Co. got his the day before. They should all be delivered by today. I was a last minute deal.
