Hey guys,

Went to pick up my fiver this morning and noticed that the malfunction indicator lamp is lit on my instrument cluster:(

Any ideas on what to check for??? I'm leaving on a long trip in the morning and I don't want to have to worry about this all the way to Seattle!!

I just changed my serpentine belt back to the OEM belt because the Gatorback was squeeling like a pig!!

Would this have set any trouble codes??

Sure could use some help on this

TIA

Dave

P-1763

P-1763, This is the code I got???

" Govenor Pressure sensor volts to high"

OK... . now what the heck does that mean????

Any codes? You can cycle the key three times and leave it in the on postion. The codes will be displayed in the Odometer window. You have to cycle the key fairly fast.

Fixed!!

The fix for the P-1763 code was a 150 OHM 1/4 watt resisitor ( 5 for a dollar at Radio Shack ) soldered into the #31 connector on the PCM!:D :D

Much thanks to my buddy and diesel mentor Blair Pine!!! You saved our vacation:D

Dave

Blair,

we are in Woodland WA right now and everything is running great!

no more codes:D

It also looks as if my trans temp is running lower now. Pulled Shasta, The Siskyou and Grants Passes and never got over 170 degrees!!

Talk to ya soon
