Cummins bus (connector location in engine bay?)
Thanks Bob! I just checked my Service manual, section 8W-30-28 that covers the Diesel Fuel/ignition system. This shows wiring schematic details between the ECM and the Cummins bus itself, which is what I am assuming you refer to? Please confirm Y/N?
ECM Pin 2 Cummins bus (+) >---------< Cummins bus (+) Pin A
ECM Pin 12 Cummins bus (–) >---------< Cummins bus (–) Pin B
GND CONNECTOR #107 >----------------< Cummins bus (GND) Pin C
.
My truck was one of the last 2nd Gens. with rear brake drums, so I guess it'll come with the three way flat style connector you mention Bob, however it is not entirely clear to me where I can find it in the engine bay? Am I to presume that it has some sort of blanking plug inserted? You mentioned its location as LHS lower - but with respect to/from which direction? Did you mean the LHS of the engine (Driver's side) or the LHS of the engine bay when facing the engine from the front of the truck instead? Please clarify .
Thanks Bob.
