I just got one of these that I am mounting in a my new DOR bumper. The thing that I need to know is if you can rotate the end housing on the winch so that they will be pointing up instead of pointing at the engine.

I would think since it is an electric motor I should be able to remove the bolts, turn the ends 90 degrees and then bolt them back down but I am not sure.

Has anyone does this?

Thanks.

Also I'm looking real hard at that same winch $599. 99 @ 4WPW right? You are going to be well rehearsed on the bumper and winch install feel free to come on up to Dixon when I get mine LOL take care and lmk about the bumper and winch fit. Jeff

I have the 9000lb and you can re index it. Not all that happy with it though. I pulled the cable end off the drum the first time I used it pulling a 7klb rolling load up on my trailer. Had at least 3 raps on it. It did it again whie unloading stumps off the trailer. Needless to say that ***** cable will never get free from the drum again.
