On my 97 (No longer have it:{)

Would do

KORE Pace

BHAF

Lost the silencer ring

4" turbo back

Rhino liner mats (lasted from my 94 through my 97)

Turbo heat shield

Gauges

Caravan Camper shell

Fujimoto (or whatever!) oil drain

10 plate

Diamond Liner in bed

Kodiak steps--LOVED THEM!

Wouldn't do

transmission build by local company instead of one of the big guys. Waste of time and money. Lots of both.

American racing Kong wheels. PIA to clean

255/85-16 tires. I liked the looks, but couldn't get a balance on them

On my 2006

Floor mats from Costco. Last well, hold lots of crap, cheap

Homemade cool air, Cool Blue Hose, and Nanofiber filter

Linex

Dodge mud flaps

The guard that goes across to top of the condensor

Screen in the grill/no bugs on the fins!

Dodge installed Jake brake--worth every last penny

Fujimoto oil drain plug

Lumber rack (sometimes wish I had a Caravan, but I do like the open bed for hauling stuff)

Wouldn't do

None yet

I do plan on sticking with stock size tires, factory rims etc. I would like to put a KORE or Carli on it, but only for the ride. I really don't want to lift it. I do want to get gauges, maybe a Smarty, but it runs real well now. Why mess with success? I do definately want to do the tank vent. It's getting cold and it takes a long time to put 37 gallons in!

I think alot of readers hear would like to know about what MOD's

You would do again

What MOD's you would not do again.

What MOD's you might do a little differently

And what MOD's you regret or would not do again

plus any reasons why or why not

Thanks

I will start: So far the one thing I thought I wanted until I got it, and would not do it again... I would not do Dual exhaust again.

I cant say I dont like it but I dont think it looks right on the truck, Although when I had my 22. 5 alcoa big rig wheels on there and the truck was sitting high, then the duals looked good, I think it just fit the look, but now with stock tires and the stock height I cant say as I would do it again.

The thing I am happy with and would do again are:

I would DEFINETELY do the TST again :D But self control is required with this box

I would definetely do the Super B Special turbo again

I would definetely do my Pac brake again in any brand (if you dont have one already you need one, and if you have one then go without it sucks)

I would also do the 2" level kit

NEXT

Well with all the recent post about exhaust brakes I thought I would bring this thread back to life for any new members that may not have seen it, and as it states above after I installed the Super B Special turbo my turbo mount Pacbrake would not fit anymore so it sucked to go without after getting used to it, well I have since purchased an inline Pacbrake which is the PXRB ( my orig P-brake was not) and the stopping power is definetely better than my original and the PXRB has more stopping power at the lower rpms, really nice that I can nearly stop my truck without using the brakes.

I almost forgot I have also finally added a FASS 150 and was concerned about running out of fuel at 1/4 tank and commented on this to Ken Imler before the install and all seems to be good since I have ran it down to just under 1/8 tank and still ran fine.

But most importantly I have to say I would do this mod again as well.

I have also since stacked my TST with an EDGE EZ on level 2 and if you have an aftermarket turbo it really helps it light off faster and I would definetely do it again as well.

done and would do again

-Kore chase- love the ride!

-TST R37- wish it was a R49, gives plenty of power

-VA C3. 1- good smooth lowend power but tapers off on topend

-MP-8- infinite adjustability and makes my setup smoke like freight train until the turbo lights!

-TAD B1-04- spools quick and is reasonably cool on top considering my mods

-Amsoil EA4510 w/ custom intake and heatshield- with the turbo gives me a wicked whistle!

-GDP 392- keeps me in the fuel

-SBC Con FE- holding everything I can throw at it! a little grabby but it acts just like the clutch in a big rig!

-BD short shift kit- makes driving a 6spd alot less strenuous

-fuel tank mod- significantly shortens fill-ups

-aux tank- I like being able to drive 1100+ miles without having to stop for fuel!

-Toyo OC m/t's- wearing well and easy to balance.

-air horns- can help to get stupid people to pull their head out. I want bigger!

-Reese Titan class 5 hitch- I know the hitch will support anything the truck can pull

-Stacks- I will not own a diesel w/o them!

-Aeroturbine- mellowed out my stacks so I can at least have a peaceful thought on the interstate but still loud enough to get good attention

Not again!

-Holley Blue pushing thru stocker- was choking my truck!

-Any oiled filter- had one and I never cleaned if for fear of not getting enough(or too much) oil in it and messing up my engine

-BFG MT's- I could never get them balanced right and were squirmy under load even @ max pressure

-Skyjacker D25's- sagged back to stock in a year!

-Any shock other than the Kore shocks- I tried 3 different brands and they were either too short or long or incorrect application(not diesel) and wore out in less than a year a set. Might be different now though.

Jury is still out

-Van Aaken C5- I have one that was custom tuned for a truck almost identically modded as mine BUT MINE DOES NOT LIKE IT!

too much timing (I think) and throwing codes. VA won't respond to any form of communication to get this thing working on my truck and won't release the d#@n tuning software!
