Just got off the phone with the parts manager from my local 5-star ... he says that 1-qt and 1-gal containers of Mopar-branded (Delvac?) motor oil for our CTDs had been on backorder since the latter part of December. Mopar is just beginning to release the backorders to my 5-star in Pennzoil bottles ... more specifically, Pennzoil "LongLife Gold" 15W40. He says Mopar will eventually distribute this oil with their name on the bottles.

Anyone know any more on this or have any opinions about Pennzoil LongLife Gold for use in the 5. 9 Cummins?

don't know about that particular type, but in the past I have avoided Pennzoil in my gasser due to the high paraffin content.

any reason you are buying from the dealer? warranty reasons i assume?

Yeah, just trying to better my position in protecting my Cummins warranty by letting the dealer do routine oil & filter changes.
