Looking for recommendations to increase the fuel capacity on my 2016 long bed dually (2WD). I haul a full size truck camper, so in bed tank will not work unless it fits in front of the wheel wells. The stock tank is 32 gallon.

Thank you,

CWade

Google extend fuel tanks. Transfer Flow makes a replacement tank for the stock size tank. I believe that the tank is 50+ gallons and fits in the same area as the OEM tank. This should help you!

Cwade, I have an RDS 45 gallon transfer tank that fits in front of my wheel wells and is only bed height, it gravity feeds into the truck tank via an adapter set up you can buy. This gives me 80plus gallons on the truck. Been using it for 8 years now! I also have a tool box infront of that that doesn't interfere with my Anderson hitch or fifth wheel.

Aside from transfer flow take a look at Titan tanks they also make a midship replacement that i think is 55 gallons. It is made for the same material as the oem tank no rusting ever.

I would like to thank all of you for your replies!!!! My best option seams to be the replacement tanks. Titan makes a 55 gallon tank and Aero makes a 52 gallon tank that ships from southern CA. There are a few Titan dealers in my area. Will check with them and compare prices.

Thank you all!!!

Charlie

I would avoid aero tanks. They are a steel tank and will add risk to your fuel contamination (rust) risk. They are built with many seams and welds.

I have the Titan Trekker 50 gallon usable auxiliary tank system. Works great and sits under bed rail height and in front of rear wheel wells. I also replace the pump with a 75 gph AIRTEX 12v high flow low pressure pump and it works fantastic

I would not give up tool box space for a fuel tank. I use a 5 as a backup. If I did anything else I would go with the titan 55g replacement tank.
