Competition lower EGT = better performance?

Thought I would ask the HP geniuses here. My sig shows my current setup as of right now. I am debating right now what to do. I have $700 of "do what you want with it type of money" and debating if I should indeed go ahead and start the Twins fund or is there some other inexpensive HP mods I can do to my truck for $700 that will get me in the 650 range. What do ya'll think?

Thanks for the reply Bill, so whats your take. Buy some EDM's now and then save for twins or save for twins now and do EDM's later? With twins how important is it to match up the right size injectors/hp over 600hp?

Jeff

I dont know what size injectors you have but you can always go to NOS for some additional ponies. Another option is prep the head for twins with the 700 you have now, although it might take a bit more than that.

Jeff, If anything invest in head work. That will be where I go next. Gotta do that if you wanna make really big numbers and stay together. JMO.

What kind of headwork Mike? Are you meaning O-ring or Fire Rings etc? Or open up the valves type stuff?

Can someone explain the difference between O-ringing and Fire Rings to me and the advantages of either?

I am seriously considering buying a daily driver type car and turning this into a monster. I am so addicted its sick. :D

Jeff, figure out which cam you wanna do, make a decision on "O" ring or "Fire" ring, port and polish job that you want. Now it's time to start learning all over again. I don't think we are gonna see a whole lot more HP with out that stuff to do it right.

Yep I agree, I talked with Clint (ATS) for about 45 minutes today on "going to the next level" He is one smart dude! He was telling me about his twin setup they are in the testing stage with right now, I think thats what I'll be doing next summer if the testing turns to be positive, it should be state of the art by far! Kinda what I fiquired from this point is all the "cheap" power has been expended out of the ole 5. 9 :{

Jandrol:

Do the head and cam now, and you will be ready for the injectors and twins. You are going to need an ATS exhaust manifold if you don't already have one. The head cam and manifold should get you close to 600 and ready to have fun.
