Just thinking out loud here.
If the CP3 is really getting over loaded at WOT and slowing things down. Could there there be a piece of electronics that could prevent this. Yes, what I'm about to suggest would take "skill/fun" outa of getting a perfect run. .
So, Rail pressure is depleated when throttle % (timing, duration, pressure) is to much for the RPM. I suggest a box, or an addition to a box that will now also monitor Rail pressure, much like EGT. When the level is below for example 17,000psi. Throttle (or in a boxes cause, timing, duration, pressure) will be backed off utill pressure is back up.
I'm not a fan of having a box control my throttle. But, since the edge/tst/bullydog/whatever just adds more to duration and timing, that's where I would execpt to back things down at first, before my peddle. In theory, that should be sufficient to correct this problem.
Unless, this problem is visble under stock conditions... .
Heck, I was thinking about putting a bottle cap or something under the go peddle to prevent WOT... But when you getting close to 100mph, you need that extra peddle to get up there.
