Sorry for the possibly dumb questions but here goes, in the manual it says that on the transmission dipstick on the aisin as69rc there are supposed to be holes to use as a reference to tell when it is full when hot. Mine has hash marks instead of holes and on the handle it says to use as68rc fluid, I'm now wondering if I got a dipstick that is supposed to be for the as68rc instead. for those of you that have the Aisin as69rc does yours have the same dipstick as mine with the hash marks and the handle with as68rc on it or is it different with holes instead of hash marks.

And for checking the rear axle fluid, is the 11.8 inch axle fluid level supposed to be the same as the 11.5 inch which is 1/4 inch + or - 1/4 inch below the fill hole? I would assume it is the same but the manual only talks about the 10.5 and 11.5 inch.

Just checked the transmission dipstick on my 2014 with Aisin. The handle says the same as yours and it has hash marks for oil level, no holes.

I had the rear fuel filter heater turned on, could not get 12 volt reading after dealer turned the computer set to on until we parked it in the cold, the shop was over 60 degrees initially.

Also had the option turned on that will turn off the engine after idling after 5 minutes. That way can leave the truck locked and go into restaurant or whatever after pulling and not have to sit there cooling the turbo. It's in the manual as an option but only dealer can turn it on.

Haven't pulled the dipstick out yet, but did notice that it said 68 on it. Hoping that they just had a bunch of the dipsticks left over and was using them up!!!!

Thanks KL7J, is the fuel heater something that has to be turned on by the dealer? If so, why is it not set to come on right from the factory?

There should always be power at the conector under the truck if the key is in Run. The easiest way to check it is to carefully remove fuse F-37 in the PDC and, with the key in run, you should have power on the foreward pin for that fuse. If not your heater is not enabled. Had the truck put back in warm shop over night. This time they got a 12 Volt reading and the dash temp gauge was 55F.

As Kirwin mentioned later, the rear fuel filter heater does have 12+ Volts in Run position and not ambient temp related. Easy to test by unplugging the rear filter plug about 6" from the filter

Even easier to test is to pull fuse 37 and see if you have voltage on the forward pin. I like that method best .
