Delphi injector pump questions

Wrecked 2012 Coronado SD

I kinda' miss them.

Mike. :)

Me too! They were a fun ride:) I tried to buy a 453T for my '74 Ford conversion but they would not sell it for on highway use in 1990. I wanted the real jake and power was the same as the Cummins. I don't regret it tho.

Nick, that would have been a cool truck but i think I like what turned out better.

I work for Monroe Tractor in Syracuse. In '08 we bought out H. C. Hanson in the southern tier and now are the Case dealer in most of the state. We have Case, Doosan, the Wirtgen group, Hamm rollers, Wirtgen Milling machines, Vogele pavers, and now Kleeman mobile crushers and screening plants. Doosan makes their own engines until you get to the DL 400 and larger loaders. You wanna see a big loader? DL500. We have a customer that has an older Mega 400-V, a DL450, and a DL500. It's a good sized beast. We haven't had too many problems with them, mostly just small stuff going wrong.

Pete, you've got quite a cross section of equipment to play with. I just checked the specs on the 500. That is a big boy. Did you say you handle Case AND Doosan? I gotta say though we don't use them the way they're suppose to be used, Comparing apples to oranges I guess they're ok. I too see some little problems, like on our early 200's there is a plastic fuel check to keep the racor full. This thing looks like it's from an aquarium and it goes bad, causing a no start. I have the number for a nice brass check of the same size, and I put that in...

Yup, both. I had a problem with a DL300, had bad seal in the filter head with the hand primer. Only fuel related problem I have seen. So far. ;) We had another 500 go thru the yard this week, I don't know where it went, I was on the road. The Binghamton store sold a DX520 (52 metric tons) excavator with a 60ft reach. Big!

Mike, is the ugly truck still ugly? Mix babies and amoxicillian and you get that color too! :-laf

Still in the body shop, the painter was stroking out today over it. Figures he only has one shot at it, any do overs and we lose money.

Petrified that some of that green is going to show somewhere. Cab had to be completely stripped, even the doors are off. Will try to get some pictures tomorrow.

Mike. :)

Cab is now blue, hood is still in the paint booth.

Now they are putting the cab back together... ...

We had one of them in a twice as old as me peanut crane. The infamous "neckbreakers". It had a 2 speed rear end and a 4 speed manual shift trans and if you didnt hit those gears just right goin down the road you were comin to a stop and holding up everybody behind you while you tried again. Im not sure what the axles were but they looked just like the old 5 ton top loaders complete with pinion brake and all. I LOVED the sound of that ol engine it would make the hair stand up on the back of my neck everytime I put my foot into it :D

Sorry, but I don't mind that color. Hang some chrome and stainless and all will be good.

To my eyes it looks light a too-light version of olive drab. I must have distorted color vision (or a sketchy monitor), because I also don't think it looks so bad. Maybe in person it's different, as mwilson points out.
