Yep, the new 6. 0 is having some teething problems... maybe a bit more than that. But I have confidence that International will get this all sorted out. I feel bad for the guys that are spending more time in the shop than on the road.



I guess that's why I'll be buying a Cummins powered vehicle later this year. I'm a big fan of proven design... especially in a diesel.

I've thought about dropping a 12V in there... but I also would want to convert over to a manual transmission. After talking to my fiance' about this she wants me to just spend the money and buy a 99-2001 with few miles. I'm still going back and forth.

I do too. Can't imagine spending that much change for a new truck, expecting no problems, and having all that to deal with.



I don't think they spent much time testing the new powertrain. Don't know if they were just to excited to beat Dodge, or the EPA pushing them to hard to have a new engine to pass the tighter emissions standards. Maybe both.

Just heard about a local guy who bought a new ford and hooked it to a bigarse TT--and took off for AK from TN.



Hope he got a good one. I'll find out in a month or two--or three.

I wonder if his Ford warranty will cover towing his "bigarse TT" in to the next town with a Ford dealer if/when the 6. 0 dies?



It will be interesting to hear in a couple of months if he returns home to TN with the same 6. 0 Ford. He may return home with a CTD.

I can't say that I have ever had an issue with Ford covering the warranty on any of my Ford vehicles, past or present. They always fixed the problems without question. Heck, I took my mustang in with the cats cut off and they never said a word about it as they rebnuilt the rear end when a bearing went out.
