Competition Head sealing methods - what's not been used yet?

Competition Anybody snapped 2WD output shaft at the line?

oh my....

I never thought I would be defending Tomac..... but all you internet pullers are killing me! First off, after seeing BBD pull, I would put all my money on Tomac whipping his azz. Say what you want about Duramaxes, but Tomac isn't afraid of the toughest Dodges in the land(IN) and he usually finishes in the top 5. Better than most of the keyboard peckers on here! And I think I've only seen his truck break once.

Are you going to have to buy a new helmet because you won the 'East Coast Diesel Power Challenge'?. That competition was a complete joke. You know well enough that there are some SERIOUS Powerstroke AND Cummins trucks out there.

I'm sure the DPC staff picked the worse trucks out of the entries they received so they could make the Duramax look better. All 5 Dodges at the DPC East were twinned, one had water meth, one had nitrous and one had water/meth and nitrous. Dustin Meyers was one of the competitors, he finished 2nd in points pulling in the DHRA Super Street class in 06.

The DPC is an all around competition to see who's the best at more than one thing. While there are several good running Cummins and Fords out there that are good at dynoing or pulling or dragracing. There are a few Dodges and very, very, few Fords that are good at multiple disciplines that can still make it thru a 100+ mile "streetability" drive while not breaking during the event. Lastly, don't forget the big bad arse Fords and Dodges have to send in an entry form if they want to get picked for the DPC in 07.

If you look at the join dates, BBD has been around here since 2000. You show up on the boards in 2006. BBD had more than likely 4 times the the competition hrs on his Dodge CTD than you have on your d max. Let's see where you are at in 4 years.

Chris

I was responding to Chris' quote about BBD having more competion hours on his CTD than I had on my Duramax when I mentioned the number of hooks I've made. Thanks, but you can keep the cookie.

well, look who has won the last 2 challenges--Duramax's. I heard a rumor that Chevrolet owns Primedia, the company that publishes the Diesel Power magazine, but I dont know if it is true.

Look at the competition in the last challenge, there were 2 Powerstrokes with cough, cough, under 350 HP. There are much bigger dogs out there.

I think Ford owns Cummins, Bigfoot is real, Elvis is alive and there were 2 shooters on the grassy knoll, "but I dont know if it is true. "

The dyno was very stingy at DPC. There were a couple dodges that claimed to be over 700 hp on a dynojet but couldn't get close on the dyno at the DPC.

I can't wait for the day that people on here realize that dyno numbers dont win sledpulls.

Kind of like when Tom Colesanti in his 500hp rig put the "800hp" trucks to sleep at the May Madness sledpull ROTFLMFAO!!!

Your right power is one thing, but not everything.

Its all in the Chassis set up. (And the driver) :D

Wow this thread went to hell in a hand basket :-laf

Funny. .

I thought I remember earlier this year that Colesanti was the guy to beat in Cali, was I reading incorrectly???.

Andy, Colesanti isn't in the big class out this way, he runs our super street class which is more like the DHRA Street Class, and he traded off first place a few times with Nick in his real stout white duramax. The guy to beat in the Mod class this year was Jhon Hamlin in his 1 ton Duramax :D

I never said I could beat Tomac, but no doubt I would have to agree.

I get to see real good running Duramax out this way in Nicks truck it flat out hooks up good and I bet Tomac's is stronger as he has been at it longer.

I am in a different class than Scott, since there's no competitors in his class, meaning, you show up to the pull and run against 2 or three other trucks.

jwilliams, my truck dynoed at 453hp. Get it right. :-laf

And Nick only got around me twice this year, at Redding and Ukiah. Keep the facts straight if your gonna drag someone who has nothing to do with this thread in the first place, and which I may add is not even INCONUS.

My comments were not at all directed at BBD just the Cummins diehards that think the Cummins is indestructable and that think that mod pulling trucks have stock internals. My comments were all in fun, just some off season bench racing.

Also, nothing against BBD but we have a ton more hooks in the midwest than he has out in CA. I have well over 150 hooks (100 in the last two seasons) and over 200 1/4 mile passes on my truck/engine which also has 113k miles on it.

I have to say I have been guilty of the "indestructible" Cummins comments myself.

For those on this board that don't know, Tomac was running his D-max @ the drags (I live and race near him) about the same time that truck mag did a blurb on BBD and that flamed powerstroke (I wanna say 2000?) - almost before the "rest of the world" knew diesel perfomance existed. I like Cummins better, but props to Tomac for pioneering a lot of stuff. He's definitely not some new kid on the block in the last 2-3 years...

Thanks to BBD for the inspiration to replace my "catastrophic" V10 with the almighty, indestructible, bulletproof Cummins :-laf
