Power Party and Summer/Fall/Winter fun

Western CO Members?

It's been a hectic summer for me, and I've been off the TDR since about May. That was all for starting a new job (transfer within the same company), that involved lots of travel before actually relocating. I've now moved from Florida to Colorado (Conifer) and have been here almost two months. I'm finally getting settled in to the new work location and the new house enough to get back to the TDR. I'm looking forward to meeting the members that I know are locals around here (OK, I met a few when I visited a dyno day in Castle Rock a few years ago). I've already noticed that Sandbrew posts on PineCam with the same username, and it appears he may live close to me up on Conifer Mountain.

Anyway, I just wanted to say hello again, and how glad I am to be here. Oo.

Welcome to Colorado... ... I to moved from Sea level to the region of the rare air. You will get used to it..... My first mountain bike ride in the mountains was memorable:-laf

Crobertson1 is up there too, well, actually on the Shadow Mountain side.

My parents live below you between Foxton Road and the hill toward Pine Jct, the hill who's name escapes me right now! I used to live up there years ago. Nice area for sure!

Nick

Welcome to Colorado. We have a Christmas party and dyno run coming up for events-a good way to meet some of us.

Jordan

Thanks, all. Barry, I had already found the Christmas party thread and put the date on my calendar--I'm looking forward to it. This move has been a long time coming--I'm really glad to finally be here!

Mark,

Welcome to Colorado! I remember you mentioning the desire to move here a while ago. It seems like it was a long time coming!

What side of Conifer Mountain are you on?

Craig

I'm on the North side, up near the top (Timothy's Dr). Another friend & TDR member moved out from Florida about a month after me (another company transfer) and bought down near Bailey. I've drug him out here numerous times for All-4-Fun with the Mile-Hi Jeep Club, and he had commented on some of those trips how prevalent CTDs are out here. I see plenty on the road (regular 285 commute), but have yet to notice a TDR badge.

I'm to the north-east of you on Shadow Mountain. I'll look forward to meeting you at the Christmas party.

Sandbrew has a little tiny TDR decal on the back window of his topper. Our 1st gen has a sticker on the rear window and the 3rd gen has a TDR hitch badge. The badge on the 3rd gen will be hard to spot though as it is hidden by the garage door;). Although, it was at the Sonic in Conifer on Saturday.

Where is the info on the Christmas party?

Craig

Welcome (back) to the club! I'm just down the road on the NE corner of COS. Technically we're in Peyton but we're really in Falcon. Look forward to meeting you next month - coming up fast!

I know, I ust dug up an OLD thread, but heck, there AIN'T any new ones (where the heck is everbody?)... and at least this one is relevant.

I used to live in Falcon, but moved to Memphis 4 years ago.
Now I'm moving BACK! :D

We just made an offer on a house in Ranch of the Rockies. That is off hwy 24 & hwy 285 at Trout Creek Pass.

Prospector Tim:

Good to hear you are coming back. I was just over at Eleven Mile, Spinney and Antero yesterday. I have thought/am thinking very hard about looking into a place there at R of R. Close enough to town to use it as weekend place and close to great fishing. Even use it in the witner for a ski place instead of having to drive back to town during the ski rush home. Would be very interested to find out what you think of the place once you get there. Cant move out there fulltime like yourself but would love to get a place up in the hills. We have a place down by Durango/ACortez but it is just too far to use as a weekend place.

Tim,

Welcome back. Trout Creek, eh?! I think you just became my new best friend whom I need to visit every weekend... . with my fishing rod in hand. ;):D
