Wade - like those you mention, I read FAR more than I post - both HERE, and in several other truck-related groups I am a member of. The measure of a user's value or credibility is NOT measured purely by his post count, but by the content of what they contribute and the MANNER in which they present it.
I may well comment critically on an ISSUE under discussion, but I rarely attack an INDIVIDUAL unless provoked - It's in poor taste, childish, and defeats the group-oriented nature and spirit of camraderie MOST of these groups are designed to promote!
ON the other hand, it's not my nature to stand idly by while a would-be, self-appointed critic and character assassin publicly and boldly calls ME a liar and a cheat - which is what the guy above has now done to me TWICE!
There had better NOT be a THIRD time!
If someone chooses to challenge my facts or assumptions in any specific issue, and present their own viewpoint or countering facts - have at it! But if/when they aggressively cross over the line, and propose to shift their attack to ME personally - THAT is totally unacceptable!
I make posts and offer well-intended personal opinions based upon information I've received in life over my 65 years - and in material obtained from a WIDE variety of vehicle related sources - I may well be ocassionally WRONG in what I offer - but I certainly don't LIE, don't knowingly or intentionally CHEAT - OR make accusations about the character or integrity of others without dern good PROOF to back it up - and I would suggest that others who propose to criticize ME use the same scorecard!
In fact, I *insist* upon it!
That done, we'll ALL get along just fine!
