Mudflaps for SRW trucks

What kind of mudflaps do y'all have? I'm in the market for a set that won't do more damage to my paint than has been done by rocks already that fit well. I don't want huge flares either. I know mudflaps are gay but I dont want my new truck to look like crap in 2 years either... .



I found today that Dodge paint sucks as well. My truck has less than 3,000 miles on it and there are sections on it where the paint is missing completely. What a shame... but such is life I guess, it's only a truck.

The factory ones are nice and fit well for both the front and rear wells. Geno's has them at a relatively good price.

I got mine from Kaydenco (http://www.kaydenco.com). The "No-drill" model has holes that line right up with the existing holes in the fenderwell, but the hardware they send has a slight interference fit. They don't require any drilling like the Mopar flaps do.

I have the factory one's also. They look ok and work ok. I'm sure there are better one's out there somewhere but I didn't want to fuss with them.

Factory ones here as well. I actually added them after I bought it, but I like the way they look, not big and ugly. Pics in gallery if interested.

I have the Husky molded flaps, just like the Dodge flaps. I added my own logo.

I LOVE the logo job I also have the Dodge flaps, they look just like JVolpes but without the cool "C". They even work well with 285 tires.

After I noticed a couple of rock chips at less than 5,000 miles. I went and got a set of the Mopar heavy duty mud flaps. Front and rear. 31. 00 a set. They use the factory holes except for the inboard hole which must be drilled into the inner fender liner. They look alot better than the molded ones IMO and are slightly bigger and have the Rams head on the bottom. My '01 had alot of rock chips in the paint behind the tires. I don't want to end up with paint like that on my new one.

Actually the molded flaps have done a good job keeping rocks off the paint. I had Flares on, but they just did not look good. I was not sure the molded flaps would really do the job. Since my 315s are on stock rims they dont stick out past the fender well, so the molded flaps work for me.

Not meaning to cut on anyone with the molded ones. I just like the big rubber ones.

I have the OE molded ones and they work real well. My truck has 30K now and the paint down low is super nice. A friend of mine has the same truck and miles with no flaps and his paint is toast but yes. . his truck looks tougher.



Maybe a compromise would be flaps, 2" kit up front and 35" Toyo M/T's with a 6" back space wheel. Kinda tough with some protection.

There are places on my truck where it literally was not painted. Is that strange or what?

The 24" x 36" Cummins mud flaps that they have on their website fit nicely on a single rear wheel with a little trimming. See mine on my readers rigs and see the pattern I made for how to cut them to fit.

I have the Husky molded flaps, just like the Dodge flaps. I added my own logo.

JVolpe I like the look what is the part number for the logo's you placed on the flaps ?? Other words where do I get the logos?

Sorry about the repost of the picture I thought I would just quote JVolpe didn't think it would include the pic.



I have the 3M tape on my truck to help protect it from grit thrown up by the tires but I am really thinking about installing those Husky flaps as it would help keep my truck clean as right now there is dryed mud from the last rain and some of the mud is on parts of the truck without the 3M tape.



I think those flaps are just enough to look good and still help protect my paint.



Anyone have any helpful thoughts or idea's

They are the standard Cummins badges that come on the truck. I used the two I took off and bought two more from dealer parts department. Dont ask me how much I paid for the ones from the dealer. I am sure you can find some on Ebay cheaper. But I am a very impatient person sometimes, I decided what I wanted to do and 'Got-r-done'.



Used the 3m double sided tape to position and stabilize the badge. Then drilled and couner sunk a hole. Used bevell headed stainless bolt with self locking nut to secure. They have been on for about 9 months and no problems.

I have had the stock Dodge flaps on my truck since the day I got it. Not one rock chip yet!

Ive got some that say moss bros dodge on them, that the dealer added. I dont really care for them, but they do thier job.
