Who makes big, functional mudflaps for people like me with half-mile dirt (mud) driveways? The pretty Mopar ones I got on my current 2500 are as useless as the Mopar running boards. They aren't long or wide enough. I'm going with nerf bars on my new truck and want to keep the slop off the sides of the truck. Thanks!

Try these Pro-Flaps.

I got mine & Nicoles @ 4 wheel parts. They are fairly inexpensive and have 14" wide coverage for the rear & 12" wide coverage for the front. This has good coverage for the 295 BFG's I run and the 285 BFG's she runs without going to a dually mudflap (which is about 18" wide) Those Mopar ones I believe are only 10 - 12" wide so I didn't even consider them. I don't have very good pics in my or her sig but if you would like a better one, Email me & I'll send you a pic of them.

Also try Northwest Custom They also have a nice product but are more expensive and take about 10 - 12 weeks to make them. However they make them any way you want. :D

Good luck

Mud Flaps

Royk I had the same problem you did and also wanted to use them with street flares, so ended up buying a pair or hard plastic 'big truck' mud flaps from a truck supply house and making my own.

Started by making a templet from a piece of cardboard to get shape and size. Marked it out on the truck flap and cut with a saber saw. A hint about cutting plastic with a saber saw, put an ice cube on the saw shoe in front of the blade, and it will keep the plastic from melting as you cut. I also used the factory edge of the flap for the out side. They look good and work great. Took about 2 hours to make and install 4. Cost was $9. 50 ea for the 24" X 30" truck flaps. I ended up with 4 flaps ea. 12 X 25 inches

I'll try to post a pix this evening.

I was diggin' those Pro-Flaps (they looked pretty sweet on Kevin's truck pics in his sig) till I saw it would cost me $158!! I think I may go with Denny's idea. They will be exactly the way I want them and cheap!

Denny, how many big flaps did you buy to make your four flaps? I would think, given the dimensions you provided, you should be able to get two small flaps from each big one.

Flaps

Royk - - - The big truck flaps are 24 X 30 inches. They are also available 24" X 36", but the local truck place didn't have the big ones without advertising at the time. I used two of the 24x30 to make four. My total cost was $19. 00. There was no way I was going to spend $150. on something that could get torn up the next time I had to get off road! Rember the tip about cutting plastic in my first post, it'll save you a bunch of time.
