muffler

has anyone removed the muffler and put a 4' pipe in its place.

i had a muffler shop do this, except they used a kinked out 3" piece, resonated HORRIBLE! loud enough to rattle windows not exaggerating. it was an 03 though,



put a big donaldson muffler on it!

I am running a strait 4" pipe. I like it. After my strait piped Cobra it is very quiet.

I purchased a muffler eliminator kit from Genos Garage for my 2002 and loved it ( sounded demonic) until I hooked up the trailer and pulled her hard, then I wanted to climb out of the cab at 65mph. The drone in the cab was to much for me and the family so the muffler went back on. I havent been in a 3rd gen with a straight pipe, so I dont know if its as bad.
