I think I was thinking piezo electric. The kind of 'snap, snap, snap' that a burner on the gas stove makes when you turn the knob to start.



I think a Van De Graaf would leave your hair standing on end most of the time, not to mention giving you a shock everytime you touched something. Course you wouldn't have to flip the light switch when you got in to the office, the flourescents would light up automatically.



Maybe we can drop a sensor down your pants to detect hydrocarbons and start the ignitor snapping? It would give folks an audible cue to get out of the flame path



TnL, I have left on Sunday the last two years, once to get Holeshot home, once due to rain. The return tends to be 'whenever'.
