Hi Bob Wagner, Cummins Corvette and Kat. I thought I would post this thread here so you guys would argue with each other and leave the real thread alone. This thread is transmission war bait, and since you drop everything faster than a dress on prom night to carry on a useless battle that no one cares about, I thought I would do this just for your... . have fun :)

Hey, 107K miles and I'm perfectly satisfied with my stock trans. It's never given me a lick of trouble. I can't imagine why *anyone* would want mess with success. When I put 4000 lbs of gravel in the bed, I put it in gear, make the turbo sing, and the truck runs like a raped ape. But that's likely due to running Amsoil throughout.

Fluid coupling, torque multiplication, trans temps? Who cares. Just drive. It's why you bought the truck in the first place, right?

Go Mopar!

Can we PLEASE not go down this road YET AGAIN?? It's almost to the point where we need to have an automatic lock on any post that mentions automatic transmissions in 24 hours. Please keep it civil!!!!!!!!! Just because someone posts a positive experience with one vendors products for their usage doesn't mean that they are slamming the product you are using for your usage. Remember - different strokes for different folks!!!!!!

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!! You're the smartest one on this whole board!!! I wish I'd thought of that; it would have saved me a lot of money.

Chris you lost your mind, I would run anyone stuff before going back to that stock crap:D

I think I have the answer. Lets all go without transmissions, and go back to the Fred Flintstone days! We can argue about what shoes are better. Nike VS Rebock. We can argue about what company has tighter shoe laces. For those with a tight shoe lace, would they have to loosen up the shoes when under full power??

And where pray tell was I arguing about something pointless?

I merely relayed my experience with my truck.

Show me one single post by me where I say DTT is better then ATS. Yes I have DTT, and it works very well for what I have put it through.

SInce you felt the need to single me out I figured I might as well answer.

The reason you guys have so much trouble with your stock trannies is 'cuz you change the fluid too much. 567k on my stock AT with the factory fill. ;)

As posted by Kat Diesel:

"Yes it is.

No flack was intended. When mine locks up its 125rpm all the time. "

another example:

"When my transmission locks up... there is a 125rpm drop... . yes across the board. But as I said above it doesn't lock up under full throttle. "

Kat, this is one of the ones where you argue something pointless, you are wrong. Unless Bill has has found a way to dynamically control the stator fin angles and blade length it is not possible. If you do not believe me call Bill and pose the question to him.
