Calif VLF is a personal property tax - it's 2% of the vehicle value rounded to the nearest odd $100. It decreases on a 10 yr schedule - I think. For the last 3-4 years the state has 'paid' up to 62% of the VLF because the coffers were full. Now we're gonna get stuck with the full amount.

CA calls ALL pick-ups - including El Camino, Ranchero, Subaru Brat - commercial vehicles and charges a weight fee on them. Fee depends on the curb weight of the vehicle.

Vehicle License Fee, that the great state of kalifonia

is paying for us, instead of us paying fully, when the state

had alot of money, the "D"'s who control both houses and

the governorship, that it would help pay for the registration

of vehicle's, starting in Oct we will have to start paying 3X's

more for registration, they say an average of around #150. 0

Man, that is BS! I knew they were bad about that, but not that bad. And they expect people to want to stay in the state? I sure wouldn't!

In Illinois, it is a flat fee of $78 for the "B" plates (8000# or less).
