Auto to manual conversion

class 'C" motor home

I started the conversion and total body rebuild August 2002. From the window line down I fab'ed an entire new body. The Drive train is a 1999 Cummins 4BTA Recon coupled to a NV-4500 with Married NP-205 T case. Saginaw power steering, disk brakes, Hydraulic drive Braden MU-2 Winch.

I have a set of pictures on my web site

WOW, really nice! I think most people would have given up on the body, did a great job on it. Interested in trading for a first gen? :)

Flexiheep;

thanks for the kind words. I would not even trade for a 2004. 5.

I lost to much blood and sleep on this one.

Very nice work!

now let's hear about the fine details... ... ?

top speed? rpm?

economy?

how does it accelerate?

corner?

have you tried towing?

my project is similar 4bta/IHC s-120 4x4

thanks for the stimulating and encouraging photos!

On Tuesday this week it will go in for a front end alignment. I know the Toe in/out is off. Have not run it a lot till I get it aligned, dont want to skuff the new tires. Economy on any 4x4 is bad, especially pushing the weight I have here. It will also be weighed on tuesday. The Power is awesome, cornors well and is much more comfortable than my Power Wagon Pickup. I put a lot of time into sound proofing, it paid off big time. The truck once out of 2nd gear is very quiet. You can hold a serious talk inside at normal voice levels.

I have just switched over to Image Event and have placed a lot of not yet seen pictures of My Carryall and Power Wagon.

Where did the parking brake come from? I like the looks of it. All my trucks need help in pb department, and that looks better then trying to get the drums to work again.

Very nice work. You have evidently ALOT more patience then I do! Can't wait to see it in person in Fairfield. Will you be bringing the bee too? Or is the trailer not big enough for both?

Michael; I bought the caliper and ratchet brake handle from street rod Mfg co. The web address is wwwtsmmfg.com They also make rotor disks, but none would fit my application so I fab'ed my own rotor and bracket. I used steel tube as a guide for the steel air craft cable to operate the caliper. The people at street rod mfg are very helpful.
