Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) My Custom Valve Cover

Here is a picture of my work in progress, I still need to polish it. I started with a valve cover from a 99 truck, I guess they are aluminum instead of a magnesium alloy so they'll polish better. I got the idea from an picture on here about 3 years ago.

Tim is that one of those valve covers FROM 3 years ago? Or did you have that engraved?? Heck anyway way slice it I like that!!

Thanks guys, I had a local shop do it for me. When I first told the guy I wanted the Dodge milled off and something else put on there, he said, "What, Chevy?", I said, don't swear at me! :-laf I've still got alot of hand work to do, and then I really should get a bigger turbo and some bigger injectors before I put this on.



By the way I asked the guy if he was interested in doing some more of them and he wasn't sure, he actually does alot of goverment contract work refurbishing valves for nuclear ships and is really busy right now. As it was it took me about 6 months to get this back from him, but I told him I wasn't in any hurry.
