I uploaded a video of our local Yokel up here. He holds the state record for high series (862?) & league high ave (238). He has a bunch of 300's and 800 series's. Note his wrist action.



But when the PBA comes to town & lays down their oil pattern, Mike can't find the shot. Even in his home lanes. :-laf

The local bowling center in E. Hartford has a "classic" league on Thursday nights. In the first 5 weeks of the season nine 300 games and five 800series's were thrown. Not to take anything away from the bowlers. That's a lots of rings to hand out. Apparently the USBC took note and probably told the house to lay down a tougher oil pattern. It worked. The next week the high game was 279.
