I have posted some pictures of the new 4" stainless intake & 3" stainless intercooler tubes that I recently made. Here is one of them, the rest are in my readers rigs album under Tim`s W250.

As soon as I can get my son to laser cut the Stainless bases they will be listed in TDR classified section. I will keep you posted.

I'm definitely interested in the stainless base. Would like to build my own upgrade. Did you change your intercooler? I've heard that the pre 2002 Ford PS intercooler is a big step in the right direction with minor modifications to the hood latch. Much more volume and 3" inlet/outlet. What do you-all think? GregH.

Not sure about the intercooler (upgrade  ) . I am still using the stock intercooler, was running 33psi with the stock tubes and am currently running 33psi with the 3" tubing. I have not hooked up a pressure gauge pre intercooler to see how much of a bottle neck the stock intercooler presents, if any at all.

TWorline, Is the weld on the adaptor plate as a FILLET WELD or completed as a slip-flange where the weld is inside and outside? (sorry - PIPEFITTER/WELDER questions) I have been planning this upgrade and getting ideas and input for a couple of months. I appreciate all of you sharing your expertise with me. OLD UGLY has to continue running for a long time. =) GregH.

PS, I have been thinking about doing a taller inlet, long radius 90 degree (less restriction?) ( tell me if this is a bad idea? )and modifying the hood with a scoop to camoflage it. Not to worry, The hood has already been modified by a hail storm. Probably a trip to a pick and pull is in order. My truck is not called "old ugly" for nothing! =). GregH

Both myself and Dave Swank (Swankmetal) of Iowa have built these for a number of years now (w/three inch pipe) I believe Dave is still selling them. If I recall correctly, his are designed to use the grid heat block where mine are not.

Dave, Checked out your website. VERY IMPRESSIVE. Unfortunately, I am short on cash to purchase items that I can fabricate. I need a FORD power stroke intercooler, 3" stainless tube, Silicon hoses/clamps etc. Thanks. GregH.

i have a boot gage and exhost i bought the truck and still learing everything about it has a som after markt stuff already just want more but thanks

it looks like i'll be back in boise here in the next couple weeks, maybe i'll be able to sit down with you and go over some stuff.

Did you say Boise?

Are you comming through Burley? I am in the middle of putting a first gen in a Suburban. I have a 99 Ford Intercooler, and I would love to buy the pipes to make it all 3" I need to keep my grid heater.
