Car Trailer Opinion

My son got out of Air Force boot camp last Friday. I enjoyed my first visit to Texas. While it was hot, the low humidity more than made up for it. Not seeing dew on the trailer or truck in the morning was a bit bizarre, but I could get used to it. Things got stirred up a bit on I-10 between Lafayette, LA and the Texas line. That is one bad stretch of road, especially while towing. I had a rock crack my windshield on the way out and my wife's Buick, which my daughter and daughter-in-law drove had the driver's side window taken out by something driving through Houston on the way home. The truck did well on fuel mileage, with a low of 10. 3 and a high of 11. 5. I liked Texas and the western climate. The hospitality was nice as well.

Why did'nt you take some of the heat back with you?:D

S. A. has alot to see and do, but I don't get down ther very much.

Nice looking truck and trailer.

I've got plenty of heat back here in Georgia. The Texas heat didn't bother me that much, but I did notice that the intensity seems to kick up a notch around noon or so. Thanks for the invite Rusty. We just might take you up on that. My slave cylinder started going south a couple of miles from home. I went out to San Antonio Speedway while I was there and I almost entered to run the truck. I was glad I didn't, after the fact. I might have used what was left of it up running quarters. I liked San Antonio, but I sure wouldn't have wanted to be stuck there an extra day getting the truck repaired.

John, my son got out of Air Force boot camp the first week of June. I bet you were proud! I sure was! We went to Biloxi the last week of July to see him. He wanted me to bring his motorcycle, so I had to double tow a little utility trailer to carry it. I-10 thru LA is still not good, but much better than last year.

Where is your son going next?

TEXAS

John, another thought for things to do in Texas : See thread :Texas Rally 2003 in local & regional events (south) We will more than likely have more Dodge Cummins powered trucks here than "you can shake a stick at". It happens Oct 10-12 at Kerrvile, Tx. This is the 4th annual event & promises to be great. :D: :D:

John... Should have let me know you were coming this way... I met Aron (Amianthus) and we all did dinner... . Next time, let me know... It would have been nice to get to meet ya. .
