I just noticed that I have four sets of holes on my truck. One set on each bedrail and one set on each rocker panel side at the bottom lip. On the bedrails there are three holes spaced out approximately 44" to 46"; one in front, middle, and back. Could have those been for a tonneau cover or bedrails? Then on the rockers there are two holes spaced out 31. 25" from each other, one on each side of the truck. My guess would be running boards but why wouldn't they be full extended cab boards on an x-cab? The holes would justify that to not be possible. Just trying to figure out what was on the truck before. I would possibly put the stuff back on if I can find what the holes are for. Any help?

Thanks,

Trever

I wish there were some marks to show what was there. The bed rails have been scratched up some underneath where a cap would go, so don't know for sure if there were any on there. On the bed rails, it sounds like it would have to be something that doesn't require lining up holes with the application because the spacing between the holes is odd and not matching with the rest of the spaces. You wouldn't think that a company would use such odd dimensions for spacing, but it could be possible. Also, the holes still have a piece of something in them that I really can't get out. I don't know if it's metal or plastic. I tried taking a punch and tapping the objects out but made no headway. Think I might just give the previous owner a call after the Easter weekend to see if he knows for sure what was on there. It might also be nice to know which fifth wheel hitch setup he had in case a person would want to put one back in there and use the existing holes, unless they are all the same.
