I tried this mod on my 01 after putting it off for quite some time. I followed the TST instructions and it works as promised. However, the glitch is that now I have an Engine light and these codes,

P0622 (G) Generator Field Not Switching

Properly

An open or shorted condition detected in the generator

field control circuit.

P0743 (M) Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid/

Trans Relay Circuits

An open or shorted condition detected in the torque

converter part throttle unlock solenoid control circuit (3 or

4-speed auto. trans. only).

P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay CTRL

Circuit

An open or shorted condition is detected in the

Transmission Relay control circuit. This relay supplies

power to the TCC

P1765 (M) Trans 12 Volt Supply Relay Ctrl

Circuit

Current state of solenoid output port is different than

expected (4-speed auto. trans. only).

I have the Jumper in the two wide slots where the relay plugs in.

And I know the ground is good at the switch.

I am wondering if having the orange wire with black tracer tapped on one side or another of where the exhaust brake controller splices into that same wire matters or if it is something else that others have experienced.

Also, can anyone tell me what the letters in parenthesis after the P#### stand for? Thanks all.

I have had some of those codes as well with the lock up switch... . Clear them out and see if they come back right away. It sounds like you wired it right... The exhaust brake should be doing the same thing, grounding that wire to lock up the converter. One thing you could try is unhooking the exhaust brake wire and just using the switch manually when you use the exhaust brake. . Just ideas. good luck
