97 With Mystery Switch

I installed the mystery switch as per TST's instructions and it looks and holds. The only problem is that when I leave it locked for a long trip, the trans must be overheating, because when I turn the switch off, the trans will not downshift when you stop. Any ideas on this? I do not have a trans temp gauge.

I found just tapping into the wire TST suggests was giving me problems. I split the wire and hooked up that way. I also had the reflash, and have had no problems with the Mystery switch.
