to me it seems like a simple wiring error... . that i cant figure out! here are the figures, BD torque converter and valve body, newly rebuilt transmission. mystery switch installed as per TST instructions, nothing happens until torque converter locks up normally, if and when i hit the switch, unlocked, i have tried moving wires to different posts on the switch, ungrounding the switch, changing connectors, and checking continuity... HELP

I tried the TST one but it would not work for me either

DTT told me to pull the relay and use a jumper

works fine now!!!!

PM "Fox" he has a good TC lock-up wiring diagram too

Scott

i am using a jumper in place of the relay, and i have talked to fox, he is very knowledgeable but was moreso in 47rh and tried to help me all he could. i am stumped...

yea as far as i know i did it word for word, using a jumper, checked for continuity, wired from orange and black wire to switch, grounded switch and ran switch to a keyed hot. checked all wires for continuity...

My LU switch has a 40 ohm resistor between ground and switch.

Make sure you have the correct OB wire. It won't have voltage with key on.

i feel kinda dumb here, but correct OB wire? meaning guage? will putting a resistor between ground and switch solve this?

Sorry, orange/black = OB. This was from the Dunrite kit I put in my truck.

Just tap the OB wire and put a SPST switch in that grounds through a 30 to 50 ohm resistor.

You are essentialy shorting the OB wire through a resistor.

SPST = single pole single throw. ie:toggle switch. :)

sweet i was leaning towards the grounding of the current thing, swweeeett!! thanks i will pick up a resistor and try that tomorrow

Are you running the switch to key power?????

yup the switch is tied in to the same keyed hot as my guages, it is mounted on the top of my A pillar guage mount

you guys did it!! it works!! thanks a million graphic man and akamac!! so is there really that much performance difference??? i havent fully

tried it yet

just be careful if you don't have a billet shafts in your trans you could easily break the input and output shafts if you break the input it will do some big damage !!

careful is not in my vocabulary, :-laf but i will keep it in mind. i gotta run this thing at the track finally, i have been sidetracked every time the guys go. i am tossing the idea around of deciding if i want to keep the tst pm3 or go with a comp... how do you like yours? my tst just seems really flat on the bottom end, but i figger injectors should help that.

I love the comp but if you are going to get one, get the Drag comp it wont de-fuel on the top end!

i have never used the TST box so i cant say what the difference would be.

i dunno i was just tossing around the idea. i really like the top end performance of the tst box i think i just need infectors to wake up the bottom end

well Inj's will help, what gear are you running?

and your 315's will hurt your bottom end

after you add Inj's it will be time for a turbo :-laf and so on and so on and so on :-laf :-laf :-laf
