AFE Stage 2, interesting results.

Intake vs. Exhaust for EGT reduction

It's almost as big as the HT3B but the inlet & exhaust are smaller. The exhaust housing has the large flange like the 3b but a 4 inch outlet with no way to hook up a down pipe. I cant find any numbers on the housing inside or out to determine size. Thanks for the help guys.

The housings on turbocharged airplanes are quite large. They run at constant high rpm, so lag is not an issue. My truck spools up much faster than the twin cessna I fly. Not saying it is out of an airplane, but maybe.

Well It kinda looks like its a ******* HY setup. Kinda HT3 and a press fit exhaust and a whopper 30 CM² housing. Non wastegated and looks to be a definate NO BARKER #ad
LOL I dunno.

The exhaust is attached by welding to a plate that bolts to the back of the exhaust housing. Many turbos use this method over the usual way we see it on our trucks, v-band clamps. It would be about the same as removing the back plate off of our turbos, which are essentially an adapter.

Just off hand without much time for research, I would guess it is a Holset turbo in the 4L series. It is equivelent to an H3C such as the ones used on the high pressure turbo on the twin turbo 475 Cummins

. This turbo looks to be for a large Ford ag motor application like a 10Liter.

Maybe.

:D
