got a buddy with a 94 that needs a clutch. I recommended a south bend, but he has very minor power upgrades and doesn't want to spend the money on a southbend if he doesnt have to. Any one know if the Napa heavy duty clutch is any good?

I have a stock 98 5spd clutch i would let go for cheap. Its used but think it has under 10,000km on it, it looks fairly new i can send pics. send me a PM if interested.

I have used NAPA units for several applications, mostly ricers. I would not use one of them on my own truck. Check the country of origin. May help you decide.

Unless you like changing clutches don't mess with napa. Call South Bend. Back when we put a clutch in my dads 02 the south bend was cheaper with shipping then auto value by a couple of bucks. And the difference in the dick was visually obvious.

Another vote to call Peter @ South Bend, 800-988-4345. Not only can he provide a stock type clutch, he will help you avoid the disastrous cost-cutting parts that many companies use and foist off on us as being "the same". He has also done car and racer applications for me, and his knowledge and honesty have been much appreciated in this bean-counter infested world.
