I have an adjustable after-market track bar on my truck. I just installed the Dana 60 Mag-Hytec. When I hit a bump, the track bar hits the cover; not the mounting bolts or the flange. This is a straight up and down motion that hits the cover about 1. 5 inches to the right of the dip stick.
I know, I read the Mag-Hytec disclaimer about OEM track bars only. Not complaining, just looking for a solution, the Dodge OEM track bar is junk and not an option.
I have read a zillion posts on the subject and so far I have not found a definitive answer to my problem.
My specific question is, will the Napa Track Bar, part #272-4229 work and give reasonable service life with the Mag-Hytec Dana 60 cover on a 1998, 12 valve, 4X4 with stock lift?
