I released the sites that weren't reserved by any of us today. There are still plenty of sites for anyone deciding at the last minute, so be sure to come if you can.

OK, gotta go work on my trailer.

Hey Hotmail Guys!

I sent an email to all of our guys on our list, but the guys with Hotmail accounts all came back to me. I don't know what the deal is with those addresses, but I guess I can't get through to you right now. Is the Hotmail system down? I get those back more and more, it seems. I'll try them again later.

Hotmail peanutbutter filter

My opinion is that they are trying to keep the riff-raff off of their e-mail system. They probably know your history Dave, and they just said "No". :-laf :-laf . I'll be there with the new TT, pick it up on ThursdayOo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Bummer!

Well Guys, looks like I am out for this year. My cousins wedding is on Sat. the 18th, and I cant get out of it. I was thinking of coming for just Sat. Morning, but I would have to hit the road by 12:00. How long a drive is it from St. Lucas to Rochester? It would be like driving to Appleton for lunch. I thought it was the weekend after the 18th, but I guess not. Good thing I looked at the invitaion again and put two and two together. Well see, but I think I am not going to make it.

Jason

Well don't call me a liar, but I don;t think I'm goning to be able to make it ;( I've got to get ready to start cutting hay, and possibly have to go pick up a new stock trailer that weekend. Maybe next time. It's just that time of year where everything's happening on the farm.

Maybe hotmail just can't handle my blistering fast cable connection, John. :p

Jason,

Get your priorities straight! Wedding, schmeding - there will be plenty of more weddings. Right, John?:-laf :p

Sorry you can't make it Mike. We'll get you to one of these things some time. How about Muncie on June 8-9?

It's worth the trip just to dyno my truck at that great price. See ya there

Latest and greatest.

Sorry I've been so slow to get more information out to you guys. I drove out to CT for a wedding this last week and had very limited internet access. Here's the scoop to date.

I went down and tested the Dyno. It worked pretty well. There were some issues with calibration and how we were running the tests. I will be leaving early Saturday morning to do a couple of test runs to fine tune the technique on the dyno. In all, it should go pretty well. Each run will come with a souvenier printout. The start to finish for each run should be no more than 20 minutes (loading, unloading, and the run). But we'll see.

I've got the tires coming. Hopefully they will be up to the challenge as my stockers were not up to the task. I've also got some eight-bolt rims for them. Still working on rounding out that detail.

The address for the campground is 3825 Harding Road (Hwy 18) in Clermont, IA. Here's a little map for you guys to use.

Here's a bigger map to give you an idea of some of the routes to take to get there.

Here's another, bigger, map.

I will be there Friday night. Those of you with CB's can use channel 21 (no reason, I just picked that one). I'll have mine on, and hopefully, so will others. That way you can catch somebody should you get lost.

The directions to GB Transmissions are kinda sketchy (Ray, jump in here). But the best way to get there from the campground (that I know) is to take US-52 (north) to IA 24 (west?). Take IA 24 to Co Rd W14 and hang a left. Follow that until you get to St. Lucas. You won't be able to miss Dave's shop. It's pretty easy to find.

If you get lost, my cell phone probably won't work, but it's (608)304-0399. GB Transmission's number is (563)778-2719. If someone else wants to volunteer their cell phone number for use, be my guest.

For the event, I will need some volunteers. I will need someone to help Fireman Dave at the registration table. These people are going to be in charge of the monies for the event. They will also be helping with the contest registration, tallying results, and drawing entries. These guys will be the ones to help me make sure things are running smoothly. The show and shine will commence at noon and all contests will be over by 5:00 (unless otherwise needed).

Second, I will need two volunteers to help me with the dyno. This will mostly be to guide vehicles on and off, strap them down, load weights, and run the testing. I'm feeling pretty crappy right now from my surgery and could use the help. Along these lines, people will be needing help switching tires. I figure that two more volunteers for this would be great. But I don't think that would be too much of a problem finding people to help change tires. We will try to run the trucks such that there are trucks on the rollers that don't need the tires running, while the ones that do are getting the change.

Third, we will need someone (2) to help with the food. I will have the sodas and water there, but we will need someone to get lunch. We will decide what to get for lunch that day. Democracy in action? These people that are in charge of food, will also be in charge of going back a little early and helping to get the pot-luck set up. Really, it should be just setting up tables and getting everything ready to go for dinner. Shouldn't be too tough.

Saturday night, after dinner, we will have the award ceremony for the contest winners, auctions for some prizes and drawings for the door prizes. Hopefully we will be done by 9:00 and we can start telling stories. That's my goal.

In the event of Rain (because Dave's involved), an awning would be nice to have, if someone wants to volunteer it. I don't have one though. If it's not too much trouble, perhaps someone would volunteer a camper with an awning to facilitate this. But that's completely up to the owner. Right now, the forecast is for cloudy and cool. Hopefully that will hold.

Sunday, we will still be running the dyno. To be fair, since the contests will be done, the price will be $20 to run. Sound good?

Okay, that should be it for now. If anything else comes up, I'll let you know. If you guys have questions, post them. Hope to see you guys there.

Aron

I have a free standing awning I'll bring (it's really just a blue tarp with no sides, but it has poles). It's not very big, but if we had a few of them we could make a good sized area. Anyone with a coleman lantern could help with lighting for the Sat dinner and awards. Rigging them on a pole would be ideal if there aren't trees conveniently located. I should be at the campground by supper time on Friday. Aron, let me know if you need anything else.

Dave, I have a 10 x 20 display tent from Sam's, I'ts that one I had in Terre Haute last year over my truck, should I bring that?

Verlyn

I'll be there WOO HOO!!!!

Slight change of plans puts us there Friday night in my super delux tent. If it rains, I'll bug Fireman Dave for accomidations in the Truck Mahal (as long as he lets us out in the morning).

Aron, I can help with the dyno or I can help BasementSaver Dave with registration. :-laf I have a GSK 3k kit coming (hopefully in time) so please bring your G-Tech for some off premises before and after acceleration testing.

Jason, hope you can make it for Sunday, I'd like to see how your truck does on sticky tires. Mine too, for that matter.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you folks, this is going to be a blast!

Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

If anyone wants me to bring something from Pommerening Dodge (remember the discount!) or L&S Truck (Cummins Truck parts with a discount), e-mail or PM me and I can deliver them for you.

Guys,

A quick count by my notes has 23 trucks coming at some point. I wouldn't be surprised to see more than that from guys who haven't said or who will be making a late decision. I know Nixter usually makes these things, but I haven't heard from him. I think there are least 10 of us there on Friday night, but maybe more. I don't know when some guys are getting there. The weather looks promising at this point. Keep your fingers crossed!

We got a good deal on pizzas for Sat. lunch last year - just a thought.

Glad to see you'll make it on Friday, Eric. The "Magic Fingers" Truck Mahal Bed is unspoken for so far. Just bring your quarters!:-laf :-laf

Ok, heres the scoop!

I'm going to try and get there about "story time" on Satuday Night. I will probably just crash in my truck by someones trailer if thats alright. I wouldn't be able to check in that late anyways. so no sense in bringing a tent.

So I'll see you all Sat. Night.
